I searched www.skynet.com and it redirected me to the website http://www.telesat.com/ . Telesat is a new satellite service leader. This web site has a site on Skynet that you can go in to. Go to Telesat website for more info.

I'm guessing the Skynet JC is referring to isn't that one. My best guess, judging from the pop culture geek references, is the Skynet from the Terminator movies, which became sentient and brought about nuclear apocalypse: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skynet_%28fictional%29

On an unrelated note, there's an outdoor cat that comes and visits us every so often. She's got no collar, but has a sort of unusual eye marking that makes her look vaguely robotic. We've named her Sarah Connor. Each time she comes around, right before we give her food, we say (in our best Arnold impersonation) "COME WITH ME IF YOU WANT TO LIVE."

...She's associated it with some tasty cat treats, and now rushes up the stairs whenever we belt it out to her.

So The Order of the Black Knights figured out the location of that satellite photo... more specifically Sylvia... she's a smart one, folks. Smile

It's located at 24�22'17.69"N 39�37'22.09"E ... near the city of Al Madinah. Saul and I had a brief conversation about it, and I've logged the conversation on Red-Monday.com, in a hidden directory. To find it, listen to the latest echelon log and translate the encode.

Also of note is a screenshot I created of the directory where I originally got the satellite photo from:

People have been wondering why one of the directories is Chinese... I don't know, and I can't read it. None of my immediate family read Chinese, although I'm certain my uncle does (and he's not likely to take an interest in this sort of thing).

Cryobot also made a significant find on the satellite photo... the same symbol that I found at the beginning of this whole mess:

It definitely tells us we're on the right track... wherever that may lead. Though it's strange... it's not on the civilian photo. Maybe it's some kind of special marker?

There's an audio track of a phone recording between Saul and JC. It's got a prolonged period of Morse code, which seems to translate (in my rough and dirty transcription) to:

EDIT: Just redid it, and ended up with:

It's pretty clear I missed a couple letters in there. (Probably says "Rot13," though).

There's also the phone numbers that are being dialed, if someone could decipher what number is being punched in by the tones that might lead somewhere.

Dialing the number listed in the email leads to a Morse-coded message, but I'm not sure if it's the same as the old one. EDIT: It's the same as included in the phone log.

Is the TSRIFEHT new? I know that gabriel was the first code, and NEREUS was the next. I also tried Rot-13 it.

However TSRIFEHT doesn't work, nor does THEFIRST.

Any ideas?

The First is a reference to Nereus (check him out on Wiki for why). Punching in that code now does the same thing as punching in Gabriel, but at the time was the only way to pull up the additional PDF.

But it looks like that is going to be the way to continue the story.

No real obvious leads from the chat log. Other then the skype name that is.

Something on the last phone log that nobody said: Saul says "I thught those chinese things couldn't get viruses". So JC must be working in a chinese Embassy. Also, check out the link at the very end of the last e-mail.

Morse Code

The message contains morse code, the code reads

Look in the dryppoint turn chat logs to <missed> 13

The code was a bit garbled and I was unable to decode part of the message... I think an arabic symbol is needed to gain access to the directory on red-monday.com to aquire the clue...

Yeah - that's what would make sense. Which is why I did it over and over. It's definitely got two P's, and the Y is a little dicey, but it is certainly not an 'O".

Whatever JC uses to make the morse code either sucks or he intentionally garbles it.
