Food for thought... what does the National Aquarium in Baltimore have to do with sports?

Perhaps something is hidden in the hexadecimal codes for the colors.

Could it have anything to do with this.

I don't understand the concept of the program myself, but maybe some of you can. I remember it was used to solve one of the Perplexcity cards.

I do not think it has any thing to do with the "codes" for the city, but that is some interesting read.

It looks vaguely similar to Piet, but I don't think it holds up.

What about the program that is being used? Anyone recognize it like we found before with the directory? Who knows, maybe that could give us a clue.

Looks to be OpenOffice.org Calc. Just a spreadsheet.

This looks promising:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ADFGVX_cipher
http://www.espionageinfo.com/A-An/ADFGX-Cipher.html

There are 5 colors in the list - Red, Yellow, Blue, Green, and Purple.

That could possibly correspond to the ADFGX cipher (not ADFGVX). Perhaps this cypher is RYBGP or some variation... but I really don't have any idea as to where to start.

(nice work, natas)

EDIT: Or perhaps its a Bifid...?

St George Utah

Couldn't find much for that city... Odd it would be a target having only 60,000 people compared to some of the other MUCH larger Cities... HMM

Nothing so far.

I tried using the colors as the Germans used the ADFGX cipher, except mine read BGPRY. I put the alphabet into a grid with BGPRY along the top and side, and then used the apparent 2-color codes to find letters, which gave me "vwasqrvsqwvsqdevrvsqrqcvedxq." This doesn't give us anyhting in bifid or trifid, and there are just too many repititions in my opinion...

EDIT:

Connecting the dots on the map in order of the city list doesn't get us anywhere either.

I'm really reaching now.

On the leak, I think we should start spamming tomorrow. We ended up doing nothing today on the subject (got distracted by the colors...the colors are so pretty...xD).

For those of you that don't know...

The Google City Map is in direct correspondace (give or take two or three cities) to the Jericho TV Series map
See Here:

AND the jericho TV show page LISTS the cities "Hit" and "Not Hit" on the website...all of which correspond to the City list we got in an email...

The part about Minneapolis is particularly strong, since there seem to be 2 markers in Minnesota:

Quote:
# Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota

* 16th largest metropolitan area in the U.S.
* Largest population center in that part of the country.
* Major medical sciences community and advanced infrastructure.
* Possibly was not hit; The dot on the map at the Blackjack Fairgrounds is too far to the west and south to label Min/St. Paul (though all evidence suggests it would be a likely target). This could be a mislabel, or the bomb intended for the twin cities could not be delivered in time and was just detonated at another site in Minnesota, possibly Rochester though if it is supposed to be Rochester it should be farther east (*** what if it was Owatonna? Positionally it could make sense but is not a real value target. ***).(there is a big Cabela's sporting good store though so it could be a high value target to PETA.)
* Update: Was almost certainly hit - Confirmed with producer interview May 2007

Ok, new question then....why correspond the cities hit with a TV series? I really don't think the series needs ARG publicity...i mean Jericho is a really popular show.
