I understand that. I was just thinking that someone not in the Slusho 7 that has been able to get a comment on their page might be at least slightly useful. Such as if that person were to now post something 1-18-08 related would that comment not be approved where as their non 1-18-08 comments were? It would at least for me be one step closer to understanding where these charcters fit into the game or even if at all.

Despite recent events, I think it's most likely that Rob will be working for Tagruato as well. I like this idea that Hawk is getting Rob's Slusho swag.

Speaking of Hawk, he'd mentioned surfing Craigslist for jobs in his blog. With the recent opening of the Chuai rig near New York, is it possible that there could be Tagruato job openings posted on Craigslist or someplace similar. Before you tell me I'm completely crazy, remember that the Iris ARG did that very thing recently:
Iris ARG hits Craigslist, Yahoo Classifieds, other sites

On NYC Craigslist there is this ad for a marketing coordinator: http://newyork.craigslist.org/mnh/mar/430927558.html
With a link to this new company called VitaChef that produces "vitamin enhanced foods and drinks": http://www.vitachef.com/

Registration is private? Not sure how to check the whois for that. But given our chef guy + the marketing job, seems like it could be related.

VitaChef was registered in December 2004, so OOG.

I don't think they would be using registered trademarks like Microsoft and Quickbooks in the listing. The Iris listings, for instance, are extremely generic in that regard and don't use brand names at all.

I don't know about that. Seems pretty unrelated to me.

Just a thought, but considering the Tagruato site hasn't been updated to show that Chuai is open 2 days into October, is it a possibilty that this site is OOG?
I mean, the site didn't even give an opening date, so it could have "opened" mid way through September. With a company as large as Tagruato, you'd think people would be on updating the site almost instantaneously.

Being a very big and wealthy company, you'd expect them to employ someone to update their site more frequently. The newest station was opened in Sept. Thats been and gone. I'd have expected them to have updated it to say something new by now, or indeed a headline detailling an opening ceremony.

I'm guessing the next update or a future update will report on mysterious finds on the newest station and their sister companies the scientific one researching into it.

it is weird how they aint updated. But as its an in game site i am guessing the updates will only occurr when JJ says so

If it's OOG, it's been planned for some time 'cause the domain was registered in July ("tagruato.com" on 7/17, 'tagruato.jp" on 7/25).

And do remember Slusho was a trainwreck when we discovered it...

Maybe we are working faster than they thought. But I figure that, considering how fast we found the Slusho and MySpace pages, they should already know how fast we are.

They are possibly still planning the update, keep in mind we only discovered it a short while ago. My guess is it hasn't been touched since it was first made.

I would say they weren't anticipating how slow we would be in moving from site to site. It seems that in most ARGs the PMs control the pacing, but from what i've seen and what JJ has said, there are still other sites, and we are just slow on the draw. The sites have been here since july when the trailer happened. We have take 3 months to find them. I agree that the sites will be at the bare necessities when we find them, but I still think we are being sidetracked with OOG and GameJackers. We're spending a whole lot of time on speculation without using the info we have to find more.

/wipes brow

That being said, I'm still feeling this more as a viral campaign and not ARG, but the jury is still out. We can be happy with what we have and speculate til all hell breaks loose and we just have to film our own damn movie, or we can dig into what we have and hope to find more. We can have it both ways.

Well, the sites may exist, but we have to have a way to find them. We wouldn't have found this new site if it weren't for the picture two days ago. We can't be expected to simply stumble across sites; we need a trail of breadcrumbs.

The site doesn't even exist in the Internet Archive (Slusho has only one entry there, on 7/11). That effectively means that *nobody* has gone to the site since day one, not even by accident.

And I'm still in the "experience" camp as well...

Slow? 3 months? The new picture on 1-18-08.com appeared on Saturday, and the Tagruato was found in less than a day? How is that slow?

THEY have been very slow to release new information. There is no way Tagruato could have been found until 1-18-08.com was updated.

What I'm refering to is subtle things we should be catching like the fact the Slusho had a trademark, which leads to the US trademark website (TESS search), which then references Bold Futura, which could have lead to Tagruato. There are plenty of things we haven't noticed because we're getting tied up. I love to speculate as much as the rest of 'em, but i also like progress. I love when the GIVE us stuff, but i think it's much better if we can 1UP "them" and get a step ahead.

They have to pace this process... If they suddenly throw everything out there, who's to say we don't solve it in a day or two with the combined resources of everyone following this? If this went from beginning to end in July, their marketing would be dead in the water for the next six months.

They have to maintain interest over time, and they do that by giving us a piece at a time. The 1/18 site is doing that through periodic exposure of images, and quite frankly it's a brilliant way of doing it.

If there was a way to make something out of Bold Futura, we would have found it, trust me. Finding this site was a rather impressive find as it is.
