Communications with Rob and Tagruato Corp
Suggest any further communications via Colby Rook in this thread/previous message speculations

So guys this has moved way past the tagruato corp topic and now, I think, I have earned my own thread! Very Happy

If you have no idea what I am talking about with this 'talking to Rob' stuff go to the tagruato corp topic/thread.... it all starts about page 10, and goes to about page 21, including transcripts of the messages, screenshots and html downloads.

So just whack in anything you think you want me to say to Rob in future messages (if there are future messages) or any speculation about his past ones in the other thread.

*This is my first topic post, so please dont leave me hanging out here with no posts! Evil or Very Mad*

Maybe as a reference you could post all communications that have already happened. (edit: it just might be easier to have them all in one spot then to navigate through the other monstrous thread)

Right now, I'm in the process of starting a conversation with him myself, just in case a different angle produces different clues.

Great job on everything by the way colbyrook, that revealed quite a bit of information.

Personally, I think someone needs to talk to Jamie about Teddy.

Also, I'm very interested to see what Rob has to say about the doctor and the site's registrar that I asked you to reference. This could definitely take it to a whole new level.

So far, you have successfully pulled from him the fact that he already WORKS at Tagruato, which completely changes what everyone was thinking at the start.

New responses will lead to new clues, let's hope.

I agree on the focus needs to go to jamie. With enough people asking about her infection and commenting her with the youtube video. Thats why she talked about her infection, for us to tease her about it to get a response.

All occurances in reference to this issue:

Pretty sure it's just random gibberish, as every time I click on the same one it comes out with different symbols (trust me, I have a good eye for patterns like that).

Ok then.... if you say so. My computer is crap Crying or Very sad so I'll trust you to know . Anyone know if the contact e-mail for the site works? I got a plan....

I'll take the bait. What's the plan?

Thank god! Very Happy

Ok... so back in The Lost Experience last year, I found that some of the info was gained by gamers actually interacting with the game creators.... [e.g. hanso foundation, apollo candy, mittlwork, lost ninja, etc.]. If they hadn't of done this, the games would have not progressed (or taken longer to do so). Second thing..... earlier this month, a guy over on cloverfieldnews or cloverfieldclues (cant remember which one) messaged one of the characters on myspace...., and got an actual response- people are obviously there to interact with

So here's my plan.... instead of waitin around for things to be discovered like I've been doin, I'm gonna try and get into it. I'm about to e-mail the following to the taguato email contact (18kagashimadSPLATtagruato.jp):

"

To Whom it May Concern,

I am somewhat interested in employment opportunities with Tagruato Corp, specifically working with marketing of Slusho! products. On you website you have stated that "A search is on for top marketing professionals who will be tasked with duplicating the drink's Asian popularity in the Western market". How is it possible to become an applicant for these positions? If you can give me contact information for your head of marketing or head of employment, I will send my extended resume to your offices with haste.

I will briefly tell you about myself: I am currently living in New York City, United States of America, in a small apartment in Manhattan. Previously residing in Australia, I have gained a degree in Bachelor and Masters Business Marketing (University of Sydney, 1999). I have had previous experience in marketing international events and products, specifically boating races (for example, I was the chief marketing organiser for the Sydney to Hobart Australian Yacht race [http://www.rolexsydneyhobart.com], as well as international world boat races for several concurrent years [http://www.widmorerace.com] [http://www.microtransat.org]). I have also been involved in the trans-national marketing of specific products and services, including Gannon Car Rentals, "FULL O' NUTS" candy bars [http:\\www.apollocandy.com] and Ripple Potato Chips just to name a few. I am currently just finishing work with an airline company, helping it 'get back on it's feet' after an incident numerous years ago- I can offer you a referral from them about me if it is appropriate.

My current living position being America, I think, would suit your motive to move into the western market appropriately. I would greatly appreciate any opportunity you could give me.

Awaiting your reply,

Jason Mc Gillan

[extended contact information can be supplied if need be]

So good plan or no? Remember this site has been around for a while and we haven't noticed it... how much more stuff is already out there that we just haven't made the move to access it? Maybe the big drought of information we've just had is our own fault....

Well, we only found it because of the picture on 1-18-08.com. Which was put up two days ago. So, I'd say we found it on time.

Yeah I guess so... just thought I'd pose the question.

*btw my name is colby rook, not J. Mc Gillan, and I live in Australia, not Manhattan. Just thought that, along with the lost ty-ins in the e-mail might spark something (as well as similarities to what we know about Rob).

Listen... I know a guy who knows a guy that works with slusho over in japan.... he said they'rll b big bucks in western marketting of the drink.... the Asians are crazy over the stuff apparently.

Anyway, I've sent them an e-mail to apply myself.... they dont give much info but hopefully they'll reply soon... I told them about my work with the widmore race and alike.

But still there does seem to be a connection between the Bloop and the monster.

I was referring to the defferal... maybe an in-game figure organised it to give us a clue? or then again maybe the admin of http://www.pmel.noaa.gov/vents/acoustics/sounds/bloop.html is just a 1-18-08 fan and bought the domain name.

Anyway stay tuned to this thread... I just got a message back from Rob (see pages 10 & 11) on MySpace... doing the transcript and screenshots now.... VERY excited

Sorry about the wait... Microsoft paint decided it wanted to uninstall, and then I had to use Macromedia Freehand to save the screenshot, which takes like 10 mins to load on my crap computer... it was worth it though...

Here is a transcript of message:

Subject: RE: hey man... got some info for you
Body: Hey colby....

Not sure I remember you from anywhere little man.... Do you live in NY? Were you at NYU?
Anyway... I'm sorry if I've forgotten you; I'm real bad with names. If you do know me then you should know that I'm already working with Tagruato... I've been with them for two months now- I started as an intern. I work with slusho and paraFun... what are you looking into? If you like... I think I could organise a meeting with Ganu... lucky for you we're pretty close. Did you say you worked on the widmore race?... I had a friend who raced in that.... Do you know Gareth?

Anyway if you want to apply just send me your resume and I'll see what I can do. They're looking for marketting roles now in paraFun more so than slusho. Also, with the new station up and running, I've been told they're looking for NY residents *if that is what you are!*.

Thanks for the message!

Rob

I think he is telling me something... if he is an in-game employee he must know I was referencing LOST.

I am currently thinking on what to reply.... any ideas?

sorry... vlaka didnt write that... lol Razz still working out how to quote stuff. I hope they are not! I still have nothing from that e-mail to tagruato I spoke about though.

I would like to send him a resume.... would help if I had one Laughing

I'm not sure if I like the idea of a LOST tie-in.... as much as I am, like, the biggest LOST freak ever, If the monster turned out to be a column of smoke I think I would kill myself- I nearly did when I found out jacob was one Mad

Anyway me and Jamie go way back.

You'd do that for me? Really? From what I've read about Ganu he's pretty high up in the food chain... you must know the right people. Anyway I'm just putting together a resume now... you could maybe send it to him? That would be awesome.

I was more interested in slusho... mostly because I hear employee's get half-off slusho's all the time? lol Do you? Nah actually anything is fine... whatever. Anyway I'll send you through the resume soon enough.

Cheers

Colby

P.S.: Gareth? No... I only worked on the race in 2004... Oh hold on... Gareth, Gareth, Gareth.... maybe know who you're talking about... scruffy-looking scottish guy?"

Looks good colbyrook.

Question though : Has anyone involved with the Lost ARG know how the communication IG usually work? For instance... where do you draw the line on making things up (such as Colby saying he's actually met Rob in person).

Very curious to the "rules" that usually go along with this sort of thing.

This new gaming blows my mind. Razz

I was involved with The Lost Experience ARG last year.... but not to this extent. The game never involved Myspace or personal contact with the characters... HOWEVER, in previous posts I have referred to people from TLE actually getting involved and finding information... I was referring to one specific incident half-way through, which one of my friends was involved in, being australian;

Participants were given clues that lead to several official IG hieroglyphs and hanso foundation posters being found on the streets of Sydney... on lampposts and such. This really created a 'realistic' element to the game, and truly immersed the players in the game's world.

Where is the line drawn? Certainly not with personal interaction.... take www.billion2one.org for example

somewhat interesting that Rob spelt 'Paraffun' wrong (only put one f), seeing as though he works with them. Probably nothing though

keep up the good work.

hope you get some more responses, maybe with more info. I'm sure that will come later after you have been through the nice friendly talk.

No reply from tagruato i c. I never through they would.

Its cool that Robs replying, but with the amount of hoaxes around i'm weary.

anyone tried contacting Jamie to see if she's got rid of her bowel problems (joke)

I've been a big fan of Slusho! and was very happy to find out that it was part of a larger corporation involved with things more related to my field of work.

The Paraffun link on your website doesn't appear to go anywhere, so I was curious as to how I might obtain more info about Parrafun products?

I'm looking forward to see Slusho! get bigger in the states. I first found out about it when I used to visit Japan often a few years ago (my Japanese retailer is a big Slusho addict), but it's been so long since I had a chance to visit!

Thank you for your time.

i doubt there will be a reply.

I think we all need to focus on the myspace accounts. Sending messages to all of the ppl involved. I've sent a few little messages trying to get a response, but no response as of yet.

I dunno. Seems odd they'd put an email out there and not expect people to try to get an IG response from it. Maybe just takes the right set of questions... coming in from the right angle.

Seriously. They'd didn't _have_ to put an email address there, ya know?

they also didn't have to put dead links to site map, help and other dead links on the site, but have done to make the site look authentic. Maybe they'll work one day.

Try asking your e-mail server to obtain a receipt of delivery from the other side, to ascertain whether it is a authentic e-mail adress.

I've sent a professional email to Rob as an employee of one of the largest freight forwarders in South Florida (which, to be honest, is the trutyh), expressing interest in expanding marketing operations for a company like Tagruato to South America (which, if they were real, I can actually do).

A shame they're not real... might be good money in it.

Anyway, will advise.

You mean like the way Slusho.jp had so many loopback links to start with?
