Wierd Story from the UK
[PRESS]

Saw this story on the BBC website. It would be an impressive way to start an ARG.

comparing the images, it seems this artist might be at least creating the sculptures, if not the riddle itself.

Well spotted, catherwood. And he lives in Yorkshire, where the sculptures were found. Quite a marketing ploy though!

The paradox website links to this blog which certainly seems to explore some CF-like aspects of art and new media, see this flash piece for example.

Question not the ways of the Catherwood, merely accept they are miraculous!

I love this kind of news story. Quirky things happening, with much humour, and without any sign of malice or spite. Hurrah for random acts of strangeness and kindness Laughing

So wait, the whole of Yorkshire was baffled, and all it took was one ARGer to find it within 8 hours? Does that mean that cath is getting scarily good at investigation, or that the Yorkies are just dumb? Wink

well, i do have my sources Wink

I think the "Press" section is more for articles about the ARG genre, not for random riddles which happen to be published in the press.

Here's a final article revealing the answer:

Sorry Catherwood. My fault for posting it here.
And with that let it settle to the bottom of the pond.

[EDIT] Moved it to News & Rumors where it's quite appropriate Wink --Gisk
