Stone Heads in England?
From a news article

I just happened upon this article on the BBC news website. It SO looks like the beginning of an ARG but I don't see anything here. I just wondered if any of the U.K. folks might know what this is.

Comcast.net or Yahoo had an article on them where the creator was unmasked as a local stonemason. It was looking ARG-ish to me too for a bit.

Covered in these two threads:
Wierd Story from the UK in Press
and
"Carvings Riddle Stumps Villagers" in Timewasters
(but it really should have been posted here in News&Rumors in the first place)

(simulposted!)

my rother said to me yesterday that it was a publicity stunt.

but apparently each stone face had a riddle and a letter on the back. and it created the word paradox

Cool! Thanks. Just saw the other thread, I apologize if it was already there when I posted.

Feel free to lock or delete this as needed.

"paradox"...
The stones come with a riddle "Twinkle twinkle like a star, does love blaze less from afar?"

I saw this on a newspaper the other day and could have sworn it was an ARG...
