I don't think the present is a Slusho mixing Kit, only because Jamie spins the box around w/her fingers; so, whatever is inside has got to be pretty light. I have no basis for this, but I would think that a 'mixing kit' would be heavier than the box seems to be, or that it would at least make some noise as she spun it - w/pieces rattling around in the box.

Then again, the kit could be cheap plastic and sealed in one of those impossible-to-open plastic-wrap cases, so nothing would rattle.

Still, though, the box seems to be very light, by the way she handles it.

That and some of the ingredients may be perisable and probably not last all that long.

dalphx, you're likely thinking of "Four Times Square", the Conde Naste 'green' building in Times Square.

Present
99.44% sure it's not slusho

Exactly, that's why the present can't be a Slusho kit (and also why Rob probably doesn't have slusho beverage swag - it can't come in a can). Remember, the DSI needs to be kept cold; even in dry ice, it wouldn't stay that way until 12/9.

First time, long time.

Excellent point, BrewerPatriot.

In fact, that would also mean that any "mixing kit" would have to be somewhat hi-tech, since it would have to keep the ingredient cold while mixing it in to whatever combos can be created. Why would you even need a "kit" to mix together flavors, unless it was something that could keep the ingredient super-cold while mixing up flavors in the comfort of your own home?

Also, regarding the date, Dec. 9th - if I'm not mistaken, Dec. 9th of 2007 will be the 6th night of Chanukah. According to http://www.holidays.net/chanukah/dates.htm, Chanukah begins at sundown, on Dec. 4th, in 2007. It's an 8-day holiday, so Dec. 9th would be the 6th night. And, I found this on a website about the rituals for the 6th night:

Quote:
While it is common to think of there being four seasons, according to Gen. 9:22 the seasons number six. When Noah emerges from the ark, the Creator makes a covenant with Noah and all of creation by means of a rainbow, saying: "As long as the days of the earth endure, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night, shall not cease." We also see the number six in our six pointed star, the six directions in nature (north, south, east, west, up, down), and six visible colors in the rainbow. Six is the balance and beauty of the physical world.

That's from http://telshemesh.org/tevet/ritual_for_the_sixth_night_of_chanukah.html

Hurm...

EDIT: sorry, don't know why the first link doesn't work - if you type it in, you'll find the site (about starting dates for Chanukah).

Anyone know the name of the bldg in the trailer when they come out outside and the roar comes its to the far left of the screen, somethin rub I think, written on a awning, tried pausing but its blurry. Looks like they are on Broadway...think they are on the roof of that "six times" square bldg when the explosion happens.

Why does everything have to be a conspiracy? Screwy

CORNBREAD is the new IT'S A LION

^^This, coming from the guy who posted to the world that Tagruato.jp was Cloverfield's "best spoof ever," eh, Dennis? Foily!

*groan* Did you ever stop to wonder if judging people for making a mistake about something that's actually valid to the story (tagruato's site) is just a bit hypocritical when you're one of those kids who spent the last 3 months arguing over whether it's "t's alive, it's huge" was really "it's a lion, it's huge"? Ok. Let's see. Tagruato is a story influencing website. Really, in all honesty-- does whatever that kid mumbled in the trailer actually make a difference? Seriously? If so, how?

Step the fuck off.

I think the few people in this forum that aren't totally paranoid can see by now that this game is going to be around 80% handed to us over time 20% player discovery.

I assume that missive was directed at me, and not Dennis (Cloverfieldclues), so here ya go, Jon:

1) I haven't been a "kid" for going on 24 years now. But thanks for complimenting a 41-year old in that manner.
2) It's okay for Dennis to judge and ridicule me for offering an opinion and a theory, but when I remind him that since he famously posted on his blog that Tagruato.jp was OOG (if he was wrong once....), that's NOT okay?

Who's being the hypocrite here, Jon?
"Step the fuck off," indeed. Who taught you to talk like that: Eminem, Fred Durst or Vanilla Ice? Very Happy
