Doesn't look like "Whale" to me; there's no "L" at the end - at least, it doesn't look that way.

Also, it's odd that he tells her not to open her gift (w/lotus-looking ribbon) until Dec. 9, considering that Jaimie's birthday is Dec. 25th.

One question is whether that's her voice whispering "cornbread" or whether it's, e.g., LenaDia messing w/her video. Since she whispers right before that - when she talks about getting Teddy's text message, we could compare the two. Trouble is, there's a bunch of crap in between - can anyone isolate her whispering when talking about the text message, and also the "cornbread" so we can compare them side-by-side (so to speak)?

I'm just... I'm wondering if this whole 'cornbread', 'whore', etc. thing is even necessary. While it would be great for it to lead us somewhere, I'm not getting that vibe. I'm getting the feeling that something MAY develop, but so far, it will not pop up by us examining and re-examining the same part of a video.

With that said, if she really did say 'whale', then we have a heckuva thing here. Surprised

After listening to it over and over, I just can't tell, but if I had to bet, I'd say it was Jamie's voice whispering "cornbread."

Assuming that's true... why would she do that?

It could be because she's telling Teddy the answer he got wrong, i.e., either "cornbread" is the right answer, and whatever she mouthed is the wrong answer that Teddy gave; or, more likely: "cornbread" is what Teddy said, and the right answer is what she mouthed. I think that's a bit too sophisticated for Jaimie, though.

It could just be because she was drunk and didn't like what she said when she watched the video the next day, so she edited it - but, then, why the hell would she say "cornbread"?!

It could be a coded message to Teddy - telling him how to find some other video(s) that she wanted to keep a secret. But, again, that might be too sophisticated for Jamie - she really seems like an idiot.

I think it has to mean something, though - it's too glaringly out-of-place.

Dec. 9th - six times... cornbread.

Hurm...

its been already discussed, that Teddy may have bought the site (being technically able to do so and Jamie isn't. She can't even work a camera, as shown in vid 1).

your only about 6 months behind on that theory. the "its not an arg" thing gets you nowhere.

also, does it seem to anyone else that a common theme of this game is to over analyze things? its it too much to think that cornbread is simply the answer to a question we dont have yet?

edit: wasnt 1-18-08 orriginally registered through godaddy? it was changed at some point wasnt it?

Folks, it's not that hard to figure out about the "whore"/"cornbread" thing:

...Marlena's editing Jamie's video. And that will piss Jamie off in a major way; she'll blame her for "leaking" her videos to the Net; kick Marlena out (or move out herself); and the rift between the two will still stand as the movie opens on 1/18/08.

It's not about censoring -- why would ANYONE censor "whore" but not "fuck," which Jamie clearly says early in the video? The PMs deliberately dropped the F-bomb to show that it's not about prudish censorship.

It's about Marlena digging into Jamie's private communications with Teddy. Sorry it's so mundane, but there it is.

eh, i dont buy it. jamie also clearly says that she figured out how to work the camera now, so i think marlena is out of the picture as far as that goes. also, the website has to be her doing. i mean if she was say, emailing the videos to teddy and marlena was putting them on the web just to piss her off, do you really think that the jamieandteddy website would look like it does? im pretty sure that when she said what she did in the first video about them getting put on the internet, she just meant them getting out into the wild. the website i think is exactly what she intended it to be, a way to get her videos to teddy. acctually now that i think about it, what are the chances that there is another website with videos FROM teddy to jamie on it? hmm...

also, i only watched it once so i could be mistaken, but i thought she said she had 15 sorority girls waiting for girls night... that room could be in a house of sor-whores. and if shes in school somewhere still that could explain why shes not going on this trip with teddy who shes so in love with. i dunno though, what does the myspace say about her educational status?
