[UPDATE]Penultimate directions to campsite
Penultimate directions to campsite from Foresight Property

Got another e-mail from Foresight.
It narrows down the directions, and says it's at a state park.
I'll re-read it, but I don't see the actual name of the state park.
Foresight Property wrote:
Dear Mr./Ms. Providence,

Next weekend, we look forward to welcoming you for your first stay in a Foresight managed property rental. When driving to the region, we recommend heading towards either State Route 28/92N between Dunmore and Green Bank, or via WV 66 from U.S. 219 at Slatyfork.

The cabin you will be staying at is owned by the State Park system, however our process of reservation should completely anonymize your presence there from government officials. A Foresight Property Management representative will handle the actual check-in process and arrange to leave your keys in a pre-arranged, secure location for your after-hours arrival after 5PM.

On the day of arrival, you will be able to pick up your keys and a map to your cabin from a large gray box on the porch of the park headquarters. We will provide you the combination lock code the day before arrival: inside you will find an envelope with your name on it.

The nearest payphone is in comfortable walking distance from your cabin in front of a nearby restaurant and is accessible 24 hours a day, although the restaurant closes at 5:30PM each day. Your reservation's patron has informed us that your backcountry experience will depart from the nearby train station, also within walking distance of your cabin.

The entire area is extremely rural: we highly recommend picking up any groceries or personal items for your stay in this historic community on your way to the area. The nearest convenience store to your cabin about 7 miles away, but it is a good place to pick up a copy of the Pocahontas Times to familiarize yourself with the locals. For other services, you might need to head as far away as Marlinton, more than 30 miles away through mountain roads.

Your cabin does include a full kitchen: we encourage you to prepare for self-sufficiency. Of course, since your organizer has told us of your plans to spend a night in the deep wilderness, we imagine self-sufficiency among the autumn mountains far from technology is already on your mind and something you're embracing. Think of the cabin as a way to transition to and from that experience.

Some caution seems advisable. We've noticed a trend among some similar travelers to end their season in the region earlier than expected. While many of them cite the drier than normal conditions in the region, a few have expressed concern about "outsiders" nosing about the community. For your own safety, please make sure any Foresight Property Management representatives properly identify themselves and your reservation number.

Thank you for using Foresight Property Management for your therapeutic retreat needs.

make note of your reservation number: #200710-187
It's been in every e-mail I've gotten.
It was sent from Foresight Property Management Arrangements <arrangementsSPLATforesightpropertymanagement>

What does this mean exactly? I guess we need to keep this number off the Sentry Outpost forum?

My guess is that an imposter is going to contact you and tell you s/he is with Foresight. That person will have the reservation number as proof.

So, yes, I would in fact keep it off the SO forum.

I didn't read that at all.
If someone was "stalking" the Sentry Outpost to steal our reservation number, they would have done that weeks ago when I posted the original e-mail. If Foresight Properties was worried about the reservation # leaking out, I think they would have said something in the first e-mail.

I think this is more for protection against people that don't read Sentry Outpost who may have stumbled upon the camping trip through DC or BA or other dreamers or hidden.

Remember - knowing the reservation # is both signal that the Foresight Property representative is who they say they are, and that you are who you say you are. That way the Foresight Property representative can identify you.

Ah I didn't realize it was in the original email. Sorry about that. It also makes this realistic because you always have to have your reservation number when you go somewhere that requires a reservation.
