[HOAX] WaPo Cloverfield Review = not so good Washington Post claims the movie is to chaotic to see whats going on in every scene.
"The monster's roar got our attention, but my focus was lost from the migraine I got trying to stay with the POV style filming. There is no remorse for the main characters because the audience never gets to know them. So when it all comes to a destructive and confusing end.....well you'll see on 1-18-08.
With the buzz this movie has created, the aspirin companies will reap the benefits as well as Bad Robot."
Hmm?

Archive both days of last weekend. It was either Sat or Sun
My brother cut it out of the paper so If I find a scanner I'll put the pic of it up.

The WP gives access to its archives for free for up to 60 days. A search of the site on the term "Cloverfield" doesn't reveal a single hit, same with a Google News search, regular search, archive search and site specific searches. Are you making this up?
EDIT: The WP ran a Reuters story in its November 8 edition about JJ Abrams' new Star Trek project: http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20071109/od_uk_nm/oukoe_uk_startrek

I think for those of us that are following along and gettingto know the characters will enjoy the experience more then those who don't.

What better excuse could there be to watch it multiple times, "Honey, I had to watch it 6 times, so as not to miss anything."

It was either Sat or Sun. I'd swear it was the Washington Post.
The review title was called something like Clovertigo:a hand-held nightmare

Did you read it online? Or in an actual newspaper?
If you read it online, press CTRL-H to check your "history", and you should be able to find the link. If you are using Firefox, you can even search your history.

New info that the movie is called "CHUAI"
After the drilling station.
The monster is named after the drilling area that it came from.
I will give you my source.
His name is Guillermo Villalobos and he works on a studio lot as a sound tech.
Guess which studio company?
He cut a demo for my band 2 years ago and we have kept in touch since.
He was working with another sound tech that worked on "Chuai"
Since the title isn't the main secrecy issue as much as the movie, he said if I wanted to leak it he didn't care.
He is not under a gag order so he said he could care less.
Now he thinks this will make him famous.
If anyone needs a sound engineer for a studio he would like me to refer him.
I asked about a conspiracy theory and he said from what he understood the
drilling station is attacked and the attack is referred to vaguely as the "Chuai Station Incident"
When its learned what happened, they simply describe what they know is an "aggressive unknown living organism" as "Chuai" It isn't clear where its heading until it nears the east coast and appears on sonar or radar.
So I think its kept hush until New York City gets a visit.
Evidently there is a time lapse of a 3 to 7 days before the mosnter reaches NYC. And a Possibility that it attacks large ships in its path on its way to land. Which would explain why it didnt care for the Statue of Liberty.
Evidently Robby Hawkins gets word of what happened through a friend in the company (Teddy Hanssen is my guess) which to me explains why he seems not as shocked as everyone else at the party.
Thats all Im gonna get. More than I thought though.
Just an FYI: Ive known this guy for a few years and for the most part, I believe what he tells me. Although I wouldn't trust him alone with anyone's girlfriend. His word is usually good.
I told him that I would give his home address to this board if its not true.

If that's real, the Post needs to hire better writers because that was one of the worst written 'reviews' I've ever read.
Then again, it also screams "fake" so better luck next time. FYI: Movie reviews in major newspapers don't run until the weekend preceding the release, and in some cases the weekend it actually comes out. Given this traditional style of journalism, why would there be a review over a month before the movie comes out?

Sounds like a member of H.A.M.M.E.R. Strike to me.
(Handheld Action and Motion Movies Eradication and Resistence)
I mean really. I can see an average filmgoer getting hung up on that, but a pro film critic. No.
Well OK, I can see a film critic thinking he can get hung up on that. But one of those would write a lot more about it.
You sure it wasn't an editorial? Or completely fabricated by you?

For me, I don't really care what the review says, or whether the review is real or not. Regardless, I'll be going to see the movie for myself to form my own opinion. I've never relied on critics' reviews before and I don't plan on starting with this movie.
