[UPDATE] SLUSHO! Happy Talk Update 12/05/07
New stuff galore and a little glitch too.

The Happy Talk characters are all saying "undefined". LOL little glitch. I suspect that UF might be responsible for the current overload of the site.

This was once known as the "ScreenSavers Effect".
Of course that show was mercilessly slaughtered by the tragic merger of TechTV and G4 (as well as anything else decent that came from TechTV), so I suppose if we keep this up it may become known as The unFiction Effect.

Excellent! Someone else that appreciated the ScreenSavers. I still have a TechTV shirt and hat from CES around here somewhere (I know, not as cool as ZDTV gear Smile). I actually got Leo and Kate Botello to get the president of ZoneLabs (makers of ZoneAlarm) on the show to answer my question oh so many years ago...

I preferred Call for Help. Either way, Leo was the best.

Leo was definitely the best. Chris Pirillo is from my hometown, but he couldn't hold Leo's jock.

WOW all the nerd memories. I kind of miss Leo and Co. I like Olivia on AOTS, she is cool, but kind of a smart ass.

Remember forever ago when they would run those 60 minute tutorials on computer care? YAWN.

I'm sure I now see that the real reason slusho.jp probably went down in part or whole was every insane fan trying to download the HD commercial at once.

If you miss Leo Laporte, he's on Stickam.com and uStream.tv every weekend showing studio shots of his The Tech Guy radio shows. He also is on IRC at dslextreme.com during the shows. More info at TWiT.tv.

Slashdot has something similar, called the Slashdot effect or simply slashdotting. And I couldn't agree more, G4 ought to be taken out back and shot for what it did to Tech TV.
