Ugh, I think this isn't an official poster. Seems like the least likely of places to reveal the title of the movie. This takes me back to late July when the first pics of this "Monsterous" poster were debated, ah the memories.

I don't see why it isn't an official poster. It looks just like the one that was found 'in the wild' and that JJ apparently handed out at Comic-Con. If it is a knockoff, AP is in for a pretty serious C&D and maybe lawsuit. It's about time they started selling these posters, we've known about them long enough.

I don't think they're trying to imply that "Monstrous" is the title of the movie. (Especially when a person is directed to the item when typing in "Cloverfield") But these posters are well known by now and by law, AP couldn't duplicate them and pawn them off as official merchandise. But AP is a pretty established webstore, so I doubt that's the case. I think the movie studio saw an opportunity to make a little bit of money off of posters they know fans of the film are gonna want to have.

Wait, so now after JJ said the movie wasn't called monstrous, they are going to call it that anyway?

Um, Caption? Didn't you see the others with 'Terrifying' and 'Furious' emblazoned on them?

That word and the others Kingpin mentioned were always officially on the real posters, and not meant to be the title. I think they are a nod to the old monster movies.
