from all that was said by the other extras i think the home video footage is just for the trailer and a small part of the film.
This is contrary to other reports that suggest that such footage will make up a greater part of the film.

i got to watch the scene where the two cast members were under this tarp like thing that leaked on the net. Could you link us to the footage you are speaking of? I've not seen it, and others considering your claim may not have either.
I think this is what she's talking about: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1mOUqSpJeE
So there's no tarp, it's a tunnel, I see no debris falling, and they don't appear to be shaking particularly much.
So either our 'extra' doesn't remember too well what she saw, or this isn't the shot she spoke of. No offense to nooneimportant77, but was this footage ever validated or discredited?

The red shirt bit is kind of funny--a joke?--but why not take this for what it's worth--in our own opinions--and not accuse folks of lying.
Concerning minotaurs and House of Leaves, yes, there is a connection in the book, and yes there have been a few conversations with Lil about the book. In fact, there's an entire dormant thread about it here.

["elephant" was another one - i used my middle name for it so since you know the first letter in my last name i guess you can go on imdb and figure it out lol]
and ive seen the dolly before i just never cared enough to ask what it was called. and excuse me for not being a star trek fan. thats just what i was told to wear.
A SAG member that's been on sets and hasn't heard discussion of the dolly enough to know what it is?

They are dropping something on their heads in that footage. Maybe this girl doesn't know the right word for it. And yeah, it is a tunnel, not a tarp. But neither one of the actors are holding a video camera nonetheless. If this scene appears in the film, wouldn't one of them have to be handling the camera?

one other thing to consider is that the other character didnt say, hey look it is a minotaur, but rather, is that a minotaur. She never said it was, just she thinks it might be. also there is no need to call someone a liar. Innocent until proven guilty. also once again, look at the cinematography on MI3, seems very similar.

dont get so hostile.
i said ive seen it before i just didnt know the exact name of it. ive been in three other movies and only gus used it in the scene i was in.
why is it so shocking that actors wouldnt know each name of the barrage of devices they have on them?
im an actor im not on the technical side of things. i didnt even know what a hi-8 was until i heard someone call it by that.

The MI3 mention is interesting. Maybe someone can find a backstage scene or pic from the movie and compare the cameras to the one in that youtube clip? I don't wanna discredit her just yet even if a minotaur would be one of the least ideal monsters for me. But like you said, the girl only says "is that a minotaur?" so maybe that was just her guess in the film.

There are 4 parts to the footage under the bridge. The debris is here:

Good looking out, I missed that one. I didn't see either of them holding a camera in that shot either.

I don't have the link, but some eagle eyed person spotted the camera in the footage or stills taken at the time, and the camera was on the ground by their feet IIRC. It struck me as more of a prop at that point from what was said, but nothing was really confirmed and I'm not sure what they circled in the pics was really the camera. BTW, nooneimportant77 was posting here at the time he shot that.

I don't know. The two hugging underneath the tunnel seems important to me. The whole 'final goodbye' thing. If the camera was on the ground, how could it pick up that moment between the two? It also cuts out a clear shot of debris falling in their heads which seems to be important to me as well. So you'd pretty much see their feet during this tender/horrifying moment?

Based on the notes nooneimportant77 put there, the camera is supposed to be found there. I would expect it to be lying on the ground in front of them. I notice there's a tarp - pulled up to create apparent darkness I'd guess. If they are to be buried as the description suggests, then that would be a way of achieving the effect.
All of this still is fairly far from the 'eyewitness' account given here. Why not mention the actual camera type seen, as someone present would have? So far anything said could be gathered from seeing footage as we've seen it.
As for being hostile - reasonable people bringing such 'information' to us would expect to be questioned. I am asking questions. I know I'm more towards the skeptical side of the group here, but it allows me to be sure what to integrate into my speculations about the movie.

Uneven ground in that tunnel almost certainly, so the camera could be sitting as to look upwards. You'd probably see them in a very upward perspective that might get them from the feet up though.
