Message from the Mayor of Aglaura 8/18/03

Greetings and welcome to the Aglaura New Jersey website. As we prepare for yet another change of seasons, we find parallels in nature to our beautiful little hometown.

Aglaura, like Nature itself, stands poised on the brink of yet another transformation, as the very Earth and Air around us change and assume yet another of Nature's ephemeral guises. For Nature, it means new colors, changing landscapes, and reaping the rewards of Spring and Summer's efforts. For the people of Aglaura, it means finally realizing and seizing the results of our efforts in rebuilding and reshaping our town.
And like Nature, we must say Goodbye to one season and things past before the promise of the next one unfolds.

The Aglaura Borough Council is very pleased to report that the Marzano Grand Jury has just announced that they will not be pursuing any further investigation or prosecution from their hearings. They have labeled the matter officially closed and have chosen not to pursue the unusual step of posthumous prosecution of either Sal Marzano or Aglaura's own J. Douglas Willingham. And though we all sincerely miss J.D. and his deep voice around here, we are all very happy to put that chapter of history behind us.

Which leads us and Aglaura to the future and the rewards from our earlier efforts that I mentioned above. Within the next few days I will make a major announcement on behalf of Aglaura and its governing body, an announcement which promises to change life in Aglaura forever and deliver to our citizens the promise of a new life that we all began working towards so many months ago.

Aglaura, our future stands before us.
