 		on the drug theory that the 11 bucks is for drugs one of the slusho 7 does mention packing a bowl in one of his blogs...

A Day In The Life…


Lily said I should start writing down everything I accomplish each day so I can go back and figure out why I'm not being as productive as she wants me to be. So here goes.

Today I woke up at the crack of noon. Scarfed some oatmeal, read the boxscores, and then a Triple Shhh. Old lady Milburg down the hall stopped by and asked if I could take a look at her busted trash disposal. I pulled a plastic water bottle cap out of it, and then spent the next twenty minutes reading all the magnets on her fridge so she would think it was taking longer than the 2 seconds it actually took to fix the thing. She was so grateful that, aside from the twenty bucks, she insisted on warming up some homemade meatballs. I took the 'balls back to my apt, packed a bowl, chugged a Slusho, and I was gonna cruise craigslist for job postings but A&E was running a Sopranos marathon. Hud came home, then Rob, and then Lilly and I went out for Chinese. Afterwards I sat on the couch and watched TV while she did something for work.

Why would I want to get a job and mess up a killer routine like that?

As well as the fact that Hawk has access to Slusho! from somewhere within the good ol' city of NY by June 2, '07...

It must be sold at the Japanese specialty corner store or the likes, because his lazy a$$ isn't going to go to far out of his way for anything.

 		I'm tellin' ya....Rob is getting that $hit for free from his bosses at Slusho/Tag, and giving them to Hawk on the down-low...

I'm talking about Slusho, not drugs.
But hey...maybe some of that, too.

Hud and JJ are stoner types

Any stoner type who has a decent apartment has more stoner types that come over to 'hang out' on the couch, drink Slushos and play video games...

If someone hangs out at your place enough, you get to know them.

Rob has no problems befriending stoner types.. look at his roommates.

If you have a big party at your place, your roomates get to invite thier friends too.

Rob is a friend by association/familarity, even if he wasn't the person who originally befriended him. Maybe even getting along well enough to lend him some cash... or lose a bet...

At least Hud has a job, though (Hawk is just a leech, living off his g/f and his brother). Not exactly sure WHERE, but according to his blog, it's something to do with publishing. Wouldn't be surprised if it was a comic book company -- hey, what if Hud has his own webcomic??? That would be a cool add to the viral campaign.

Interesting to note that he blogged this in early June and according to the Slusho page on Tagruato.jp, found in September, Slusho is not even available in the west:

The next step is to introduce Slusho! to the rest of the world. A search is on for top marketing professionals who will be tasked with duplicating the drink's Asian popularity in the Western market.

How did he get his Slusho? Unless it's an inconsistency or I'm being too literal and it is available, but not mass market.

 		Good pick up on that...could totally just be an error on their part, which isn't too hard considering there is a lot of things going on. Maybe they didn't know where this was going when they made the myspace pages. Kinda "playing it as it goes" type of deal. This could also be a clue as to Hawk knowing someone on the inside, ie his brother Rob, who never really reveals who he works for clearly...

Yeah, I'm leaning towards an error in the timeline. Just too much stuff out there and someone in their Marketing forgot about Hawk's early blog.

It is possible that Slusho may be available in specialty stores that would cater to unusual products. If you include Alias, then Slusho has been available for a while.

A bit off topic, but I'm amazed at that we've not heard a peep from any of the actors and their roles in this movie. They all seem to be young and fairly new to the industry…to get work; don't you need to have acting credits on your resume? I really don't know how it all works, but if they can't talk about the movie or show to a new director what they've done, it has to be hard land new gigs.

They must have signed one heck of a non-disclosure agreement.
