[OT] Red vs. Blue Getting 5 More Episodes http://www.xbox.com/en-US/community/promotions/redvsblue/default.htm
"In anticipation of the big launch of HaloŽ 3 in September, a five-episode special edition of Red vs. Blue will premiere at participating retail websites starting on Tuesday, July 31. The episodes feature Sarge preparing Donut, Simmons, and the rest of his soldiers for the upcoming move from Halo 2 into Halo 3."

Ha-HAH. And people said RvB was over after that April Fools post.
It appears that those of us who can actually understand semantics were right.

Strange that they'll be available at stores though. I assume to watch through the Kiosk, but that's odd...

I'm sure they'd get the episodes on to the Rooster Teeth site

Actually, the series IS over. Given that they never mentioned this on the actual site. Keeping in mind that they did this for the Halo 2 launch as well, with the "Upgrade" video which had Sarge doing the exact same thing. Resulting in the other guys bitching about the "Upgrades"
I'll also bet that these episodes WILL be kiosk exclusive. Again, that has happened before, a couple of times actually.
Red Vs Blue was great. but stop trying to see more where there is none. I think a hundred episodes was the best place to stop the series.
I do beleive they have a big project in the works, but no-one's mentioned it.

For Rooster Teeth, it seems like a bad idea for them to comepletely quit with RvB. I mean, after it becoming such of a hit, they have nowhere to go but down.

Can I just highlight how stupid that comment is? It ALWAYS surfaces after something popular ends, wether or not it's a TV show or a series of books or in this case a popular webseries of Halo cartoons.
While it is probably true that they never really expected to make it to five seasons, why is it a bad idea to find a way to end a series that has had a great run. Especially given that Roosterteeth is actually now a real company with an actual office? With Employees? This is something they themselves downplay a lot and because of this alot of people tend to then completely disregard that.
They've been working with various companies on commercial projects for a couple of years ago. The NCAA commercials done in Madden? Paid. P.A.N.I.C.S for F.E.A.R? Paid. 1-800 MAGIC for Shadowrun? Paid.
Not to mention they still have numerous projects behind the scenes that we don't know about yet and they get mentions from a few industry types. Now roosterteeth may not ever acheive the same success as they did with RvB but do not assume that this is "Their Downfall" because that's just circular and even stupid logic.

Another sensible person, hooray. As a 'clue' to the transition from H2 to H3, one of the endings for Episode 100 was a post-game chat wherein all of the primary characters in unison said "new map!" Another might be the fact that these five episodes detail a transition between H2 and H3, serving a purpose similar to that of First Strike between H1 and H2.

1-800-Magic's last episode wasn't on the RT site for over a week after it was on marketplace. The stores might have paid to make sure these never see the light of the RvB site.

I love Red versus Blue and look forward to any episodes they make.

RvB Well, as an update, and clerification, RvB: The Blood Gulch Chronicals is over. However, RvB itself is not finished just yet. RT is making a mini-series called RvB: Recovery One that will be RT's last project in Halo 2. However, no one said that they aren't moving on to make an H3 RvB as well. So my advice is, keep checking in on the RT home site for updates on RvB.
