New News!

Well, I've seen this today. The main page has a new News post regarding heavy rain. Does it means that something is about to happen?

(insert witty comment) Basically...no. Newsfeed articles more often than not play little role in the development of the "plot/action." Even those articles that seem to foreshadow a development usually don't. And those that do, such as the ad that directed us to pi's "skycast," seem to take awhile to actually materialize into something more than innuendo.

Of course articles do help frame context and, who knows, they might become important later (like the suspicious Benchmark Article possibly referring to a "break in" point for the future union on the 30th). Anyways, new articles are fun and should always be control A'ed, but who knows if there're important.

i am pretty confident that the news articles are the most important thing in the game, as far as leads and such go. the puzzles thus far have not actually provided much in the way of game progression but following leads found in various articles, making connections between them, and so on has proven very fruitful. remember, this is a presented story and in any presented story every piece of the puzzle is as important as the next.

Heh, maybe that the PMs will be absent for another indefinite period.

Again???? LOL The PMs have never been all that active except for conversations. Since the beginning there hasn't been much real plot development, just some stuff to keep us here, like Pi, Will Forth, GK, and folio pages.

so slow

if they dont start doing something, i'm just going to pack up and leave this game. There are more interesting ARGs going on. It is like the PMs had a great initial idea, then after a while, ran out of steam and stopped trying. In two months, have two "delays" due to weather. Lets just see if Hook begins her plans, and things may get interesting again. Until then, i'm putting little effort into this.

LOL That's why I'm not really in the game anymore myself. It's really pathetic.

Going to have to agree with both lostfaith and taureanfreak, however, I do think that such an idea does have merit for the future, and that a future PM should take this up, as long as they remain active.

I'm staying to see Agent Hook's plan. After that, who knows?
