funy thing though

hopefully on the 18th of this or next month we'll get some info, I mean great idea making us wait this long, but very unprofessional to wait until the last minute to think of a name, Yes it will attact attention, but when the movie is released... no9 ones going to know what its called and that may damage ticket sales

well the only people who care for now is the people looking here and us fifty who actually post. so that's about a 10,000 tickets sold so far, i'm sure it'll get better come more trailers and names and stuff.

i think the whole "im losing interest" thing is being overblown at least right now. august and the beginning of september were pretty weak but in the past 3-4 weeks we got a new pic, a food review, tagruato, jamieandteddy.com with 2 videos. i think thats pretty good

Everybodies goin'
See you there...

I think we all no this isn't a bona fide ARG so I find myself hard pressed to measure it by
those standards. I honestly believe the pace of the interactive viral marketing for this film
will pick up around mid November …beginning of December at the latest. I believe this
for very good reasons…because I want it to.

Like the snowball effect, the further down this viral snowhill we roll, the faster it goes
and the bigger it'll get
. Everything we digest until the release date will assist us in
developing the state of mind we will have adopted by 1-18. If Jabrams decides to release
the film tomorrow night, three quarters of you will make any arrangements necessary to
get to the theaters. Know why…because you've been brainwashed (I will hopefully beat most of you there, cuz I don't want crappy seats) .

That's what this is all about. Getting us brainwashed into a calculated state of mind…the
state of mind that's most fertile for Cloverfield to flourish in
. We're all putting on our 3-
D glasses right now. When you have them on, the characters jump out at you. They reach
right out of the screen and almost touch you
. The viral is only the beginning of the
experience. Seeing the movie in a certain state of mind is the rest, and the real experience.
Nonetheless…

You aren't going to need 3-D glasses for this film to kick a$$. Just like Lost, the movie
will be awesome whether you were part of the experience that led up to it or not. When
Joe movie-goer sees it opening night he's gonna tell Jane movie-goer how great it was the
next day. Jane movie-goer is going to see it with two friends that night…and Joe movie-
goer will be there that night too…with three more of his friends...along with four
complete strangers who overheard everyone raving about how sick the movie is.

Everybody seems bored because of the pace of this campaign…every forum I enter I here
the same thing - If JJ doesn't want to lose ticket sales, he needs to release a trailer…If we
don't get some clues, were gonna forget about it...It was cool at first, but now I don't care
if I see the movie or not…Nobodies gonna see it if they don't know the title.

Couple bubble bursters

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
* If there is no trailer until 12 -18, the movie will sell out.
* If we don't get any clues, we're going to the movie the night it opens.
* If it was cool at first, it's going to be cooler the night of the premiere.
* If nobody hears the title by 1-18...nobody will forget it after they see the movie.

Jabrams can release the trailer a month out like every other movie does, only untitled
and w/o any clues
, and his ticket sales aren't going to be effected at all. If the 14 people
who are following this viral get eaten by the monster before 1-18
, the theaters are still
gonna sell out
…but don't allow that to dishearten you (we all know the truth hurts at
times).

When the day comes, uttered of by the viral gods, that was spoken of what seems like oh
so long ago, people will flock to dark rooms with uncomfortable padded seats…popcorn
and snowcaps will abound.

It will be the greatest night ever.

agreed.

the thing is, if they release any info about the monster before the release, it will kill the hype of it. anything you see from now until the movies release will give speculation, nothing specific.

in the meantime....other games are happening.

I think there are more people following this than is immediately apparent, the thing is, there isn't anything happening.

If you want something to add to your list of things to watch, the promotion for the new Batman movie, Dark Knight, sounds like it will be picking up in December, and my feeling is that that promotion will be awesome.

Also, in the meantime, there are other games currently playing including Eldritch Errors, which has a live event haunted (or spooky) camping trip coming up for the weekend before Halloween. And, Hope is Missing, an ARG that seems to be part of a cool project is getting started.

There are others, those are the two I have been watching/playing.
