I'm not sure exactly how long I've been lurking, but it's been a while. Shortly after the first trailer came out and gave me chills, I think. Around the time that the Myspace pages were discovered. I checked the site neurotically until the hype died down, then came back and started with the f5ing again in September, when it seemed like enough time had passed for another trailer to be a possibility.

I'd never heard of an ARG before finding unfiction in my internet-based endeavor to find out wtf the trailer was all about, but I'm a fan of well-done monster movies with a particular interest in creature design/special effects and the psuedoscience that goes into most things sci-fi. Basically, I'm dying to know what this thing looks like, and how it was created.

I haven't been involved much in the scheme of things, and have really only spoken up recently in monster-related threads. As for the rest, I mostly like watching other people figure it out, if that makes sense. I'm nervous about speaking up and saying something stupid.

I'm 21, F, and from Houston, though I'm currently attending UNT in Denton, north of Dallas. I am a geek, and a Criminal Justice major, of all things. And I guess that's it!

Hello.
Been lurking since day one, pretty much. Spent most of my time at IMDB, to be honest, but God. Seriously. Horrible. Never registered there, either, didn't really want to give them a credit card number for "confirmation".
But yeah. I've managed to pretty much stay up-to-date without actually ever contributing, but I decided that I do have things to say, sometimes, no matter how lame. And naturally, I have chosen to say my things in the American way: on the internet and with no fear of real-life persecution for being stupid.

Nice to be here.

Hi, I haven't posted here since the Matrix ARG. I can see once again I am going to spend some sleepless nights here until the day this movie comes out. Crying or Very sad

hey all. new here. i am highly interested in cloverfield and ive been reading here since august i believe. i joined up last month but havent said anything yet as i have just been reading the details and so on.

just a big fan of monster movies and especially the japanese gojira and gamera films. so any new monster movie is great news to me no matter where its made.

i am just a musician and also a writer for various film ideas and scripts (of my own) that i might plan on using in the future. i do mostly industrial/experimental music though.

so hello everyone!

Yeah. I haven't been really lurking, but ever since I saw the Cloverfield trailer before Transformers, I was hooked. (Damn you, J.J. Abrams!) Just want to say, I probably won't be posting much, but I'll try to contribute as much as I can.

Kaosblaze... out!

I believe this is the site that did stuff on Eon8, no?

If not, then I'm mistaken. Embarassed Anyways. I work at a movie theater and have heard so much from my customers about it, I had to take a look at the trailers myself. I've never participated in an ARG before, only read about them (ilovebees) so I'm excited right now. :'D

Hello everyone! :3

Hi everyone - hope you have fun, check out the couple of readme threads here and here. The wiki's a nice source of information about what's known and that's here.

Citronne - don't expect an ilovebees experience, this is not like that at all. Though don't let that put you off this or anything else Smile

Oh, I don't have any expectations for this ARG to be like ilovebees. It's just that I've always wanted to participate in an ARG but the ones I've always found were ones that were close to ending or have ended. Glad I caught this one just in time. Smile

Hey there uF crew. Please take no offense to my banner of love to uF in my avatar.

I enjoy mostly lurking and reading.

I live on the Oregon Coast. With a 6 foot Blonde Amazon (wife) and a daughter who resembles "Boo" in Monsters Inc.

I is a DJ on an Oldies station. I like the older music. The new stuff (No offense JF) is kind of too much for me.

I enjoy the Cloverfield Virus. It is a ton of fun. And may I say that nothing, nothing gets past the uF crew. In about 20 minutes, the crew can break it down, fillet it, flop down some spice and BOOM! Its done!

There are some seriously intelligent people on this board. CSI has nothing on you guys.

Oh BTW, I am a monetary contributor to the board. You should consider at least trying to give up a few bucks to Bass for the overall enjoyment you have received from the internets ultimate ARG killer. Bass has to pay for bandwidth, hosting and domain name fees each year. So please help if you can.

That is all.

Hello.

As is usually the case, I'm a long time lurker. Only recently registered. Hope to contribute, but you're all a lot quicker than me, it'd seem.

As a frame of reference, here are my wagers on some of the topics.

I think Teddy is not fighting Tagruato. No basis, just how i feel/how i'd like to see it go.

I think Jamie will be completely absent from the movie. I'd personally love to see her gift be some DSN, and then read on Tagruato that they "again reaffirm that no DSN is available outside of their contained factories and is therefore in no way responsible for the death of the exploding blonde in NYC." hehe.

I vote GrumpyPants. And I'd buy the game, but only if it's on Wii, cuz I'm not about to buy another console for it. Smile

Hello Everyone.. I am a first timer here. I have never heard of an ARG/ARE before. I stumbled on you guys doing searches for this "mysterious movie" known as Cloverfield. I started reading some of your posts and became addicted instantly! I never knew that anything like this was "real". I look forward to playing with you all in the future!
