Hi everyone, I figured that since I've been posting quite a bit, i might as well finally introduce myself.

My name's Jim

I'm 37, I think, and I live in a very tiny unknown town in Florida called Fort Lauderdale, though I'm orginally from an even smaller village called San Francisco. Single. Not by choice.

I'm here because I have a different view of things and people hate me for it and so I've been booted out of every other board on the net, from roller coaster sites to Star Trek sites to Disney sites to Wizard of Oz sites - and you guys were the last ones available. I am a very opinionated person on ever subject who enjoys good debates, but I hate no one, and I am very tender hearted. I get along best with people who are playful and who aren't anal about everything.

I found UnFiction a couple weeks ago when I first discovered 1-18-08 on YouTube while researching (what I believe to be) the fake airplane attack on NYC (which is one opinion that gets me kicked out of boards). I would NEVER have EVER suspected there to be any game connected to the trailer, and it wasn't until I saw all the other 1-18-08-related videos that I got hooked on this game. This is my first ARG, and i find the whole thing to be just brilliant!

As for what I do, I am a history and Bible scholar, and host of www.GayChristianSurvivors.com which provides a safe haven for gays and lesbians who have been rejected or kicked out of thier churches. I'm one of the few conservative, fundamentalist, Bible-believing Christian ministers in the world who does not agree with bigoted bible-twisting antigay right-wingers whom I do not consider to be Christian in any sense of the word. (that's the other thing that gets me booted). I'm also the author of a couple of books.

My favorite color is the rainbow. Honestly. I mean, how can one choose? Each, in their place, is just amazingly beautiful. But I do have a fondness for sapphire blue, amethyst purple, and emerald green. As well as citrine yellow, amber orange, and ruby red. Then again, muave, puse, aquamarine, tirquoise, adobe brick, pink, and light brown are also lovely.

Pasta? Meat lasagna!!

Anyway, you now know more about me than anyone ever cares to know - except that I am also a Star Trek: Odyssey and Star Trek: Hidden Frontier freak (even though I was booted from their board for disagreeing with the moderator about God's identity - I believed God loves gays, he didn't, so I got booted). But I still watch the shows. Also a Guild Wars and Diablo player.

Hey hmghosthoost, it's great to share the unforums with you!

I'm a 34 yr old writing MFA student in Pittsburgh, and I've run out of time to participate here in a meaningful way. Instead, I'm mostly lurking these days, and watching the story unfold.

So, thanks, y'all for the heavy lifting on the unfolding front!

Hi deletia and everyone!

My name is Bryan, im 22 years old, a college student from makati, philippines. My first exposure with ARG is when I came across the weiss chat in alias' website. By looking at the ARG archives of the beast(A.I.) and Alias, I got hooked. So im really happy that I get to see this unfold right in front of me this time.

I am Euchre. Yes, people I know in person even call me that (granted, not all of them).

I came here because I saw the 1-18-08 trailer before Transformers and this is one of the places where a relevant search took me. I found the Ethan Haas thing to be interesting, despite it's lack of relationship. I followed both up until the hosed end of Ethan Haas, and am now entirely focused here on 1-18-08. I find Chaotic Fiction in general and ARGs (and 'ARE's) to be a fairly fascinating evolution of modern entertainment.

I do what I like, and I do what pays me. They are not always the same thing. It usually involves cars, guns, or logistical labor and management. (Dang, I could probably work for organized crime from the sounds of it.)

Fettuccine Alfredo is one of my food groups.
(The others are Chocolate, Pickled Eggs, and Ginger Beverages.)

Hello, nice idea this thread. And so...

My name is Edwin. I'm a 47 yr old single male who has lived most of his life in New England. I have also lived in Orlando, Miami, Clermont, Cape Canaveral and Cocoa Beach, FLORIDA (Love that place) and spent four years living in Manchester, England. (I bleed City Blue.)

I am also a fan of all sports New England; Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins, Revolution, Boston College but especially the All-Mighty, kick you while you're down and throttle you 'till you turn Patriot blue New England Patriots. (Don't hate! It's all in fun!)

I'm here because I went to the Transformers premiere on July third and was almost scared out of the cinema by the most awesomely terrifying trailer I have ever seen. Seriously, the trailer had such a sense of urgency and immediacy to it that at one point I took my eyes off the screen and looked around to make sure I was still in a cinema!

I spent the next ten days researching that trailer and wasted precious time arguing Voltron with the children at Firstshowing.net and AICN (hence my sig) before I found this oasis of sanity.

I have spent most of my adult life working in the Telecommunications industry in one job or another, except for a period of about 6 years I spent in the Restaurant industry. Ugh... never again.

My favorite pasta is Meat Lasagna, especially my sisters special recipe. Yum!!

I tried to add myself to the map but it's not working for me.

And my favorite "colour" is middle of the day, no clouds, no humidity sky blue!

[All EDITS for spelling and grammar]

That's right
you'd better know it

Hi crew,

Ryan Rogers - I'm a "journalist" in Windsor, Ontario, "CANADA."

26 feels pretty good right now, and basically, I just haunt the site. I had the priviledge to see the Transformers movie in a sneak preview in thanks to a 'geek' compadre of mine - I've been absorbed with the 1-18-08 trailer ever since.

I'm gratefully impressed with all the work that the powers that be put into this site, and I check more often than someone who "should be as busy as me" does.

To be as honest as whatever the most honest thing is: My roommate and I watched the first three seasons of Lost because of this trailer, because we honestly felt that our 1-18-08 beast was going to be the smoke monster. Now I'm hooked on the g-ded show, and ... well, good on everyone involved who makes this project as enthralling as it is.

Take care,

Ryan,
Windsor, ON, CAN

Go Rockies! (aka Jeff Francis)

p.s. I've always preferred Linguini Alfredo - for whatever that's worth -

Greetings,
I'm Doug from Jacksonville, Florida. In real life, I'm a project manager in the Information Systems department for the governing organization of a "major American sport". I have a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Florida (Go Gators!!), but over the years somehow turned myself into an IT person.

I came here after first seeing the trailer on www.apple.com and initially spending time reading a forum on AintItCoolNews, which got me totally sucked into the whole mystery and Internet component of this film. Finding this forum after reading AintItCool, though, was like moving from kindergarten to post-graduate school in one giant leap. With two young boys, most of the movies I see these days are animated, but my own tastes run towards David Lynch.

I'm a grown man with a wife, kids, mortgages, yardwork, etc., but this is a fun diversion from all that. Oh, and I like pasta way too much, resulting in a waist size that is constantly chasing my age; I guess my favorite would be vermicelli. I never could stand thick spaghetti. And back when I was younger, thinner, singler and had bigger hair, I played guitar in a local rock band for about 7 years. It's a full life. Smile

Doug
