[SPEC] Slusho and people
possible effects of slusho (DSI) on people

Ok, I have this on my mind since the Vernon Macddooble discovery. So here I go, I stop lurking around and share it with you.

What if the DSI is not a physical mutating agent, but more acting on the cerebral side. Unlocking unused part of the brain linked to your deepest/secret wishes. There seems to be a connection between caracters know or suspected to have eaten the DSI.

Ganu: Dreamed he was a small fish that becomes a whale we drinking the ingredient. Actual ingestion made him feel huge.

Vernon Macdooble: By reading his reviews, you can feel that this guy want to be recognized and respected (uses lots of superlatives etc.). Actual ingestion of DSI made him say that he felt like a king, crushind opposition. He also stated "it reaches the soul" and "it's an experience".

Jamie:Since she a single and her myspace page stated her as a swinger and all, it's plausible to think that she dreams to be actractive to men. "Use this photo to send a message of my hotness far and wide" written on the back of a photo could be an effect of DSI ingestion.

Edit: I forgot the elderly who felt young again after drinking the mikan strawberry, from the tagruato site. Again, obviously a deep wish to be young again is easily imaginable in this case.

Also, "you can't drink just six" could refer to the fact that once you felt the spiritual the empowerement of DSI, your brain just can't work without it.

Well, as for a link with a monster of some sort I don't know how to connect the dots but maybe the creature awaken for his sleep because of the craving for the substance that is now ingested by human therefore becomming his new feeding niche.

Easy.

The more you drink the more you grow. They are taunting you to drink more then six because if you do you will grow to a monstrous size! For example, the monster drank about fourteen/sixteen in a one night binge.

Now lets talk about whales. The largest one is the Blue Whale which is about 40 Meters long. Now according to Slusho you "Become the small whale" or something like that.

Six slushos make you the size of a blue whale. But what about sixteen?! That ammount will make you the size of a few blue whales and probably a squid and a sea lion. That is about 100 meters long, or in the case of the monster, tall.

Our GLITMFS scientists proved this after a monster movie marathon, the new oreo pizza thing and Scientist Gene throwing a dart at a possible outcome.

My bet is that the whale is the bottlenosed whale (the one that went up the thames i believe), the fin of the whale pic on the Tagruato Corp is almost the same as the fin of a bottlenosed whale OR a finback whale, but ti makes more sense if it was the Thames river whale.

It is also pretty small compared to other whales and so can be described as a "small" whale. On the drilling section of the site they say that new technology allows them to bypass any physical barrier that may of stood in the way before. My guess is that they are using super sonic sound to break up the rocks, which would obviously mess with creatures like whales who use sonar for everything. Either this super sonic "device" attracts these small whales which get exposed to concentrated amounts of the DSI or it attracts something far far worse.

Edit lol went slightly off-topic. Cool

Slusho = hallucinogenic

i beleive slusho (special ingredient) makes ppl have hallucinations. As proven ppl who have consumed it beleive they are bigger, an animal, (seeing monsters... Rolling Eyes) May also induce pleasure as it is said that it is tasty maybe even addictive.

Also:
The Tagruato Lions Little League Team are victors once again! For the third straight summer, the Slusho! fueled Lions became league champs after defeating the Nishio Dragons by way of forfeit. The game was called midway through the 4th inning, with the Lions already leading 18-0 thanks to four homeruns by slugging first baseman, Fudo Goto, 11.

"I hit the ball far," said a jubilant Fudo following the game.

Lions pitcher Masakuzo Endo (8-0) had nine strike outs and thirteen hit batsman. Nishio coach Geoff Jingle was forced to forfeit after he looked to his bench and found no Dragons brave enough to step to the plate.

The kids seem to be strong or think they are, and the pitcher keeps hitting the batters.

Been lurking for a few weeks, reading all the threads.

Regarding the Tagruato Lions Little League Team, "I hit the ball far" struck me as kind of strange, for some reason, so I checked it as an anagram. One of the results:

Fireball Hath It

Not significant, I'm sure, but I thought it was cool. Razz

Sorry...went a bit O/T there.

hello! I'm a first time poster!!

first i want to offer just a thought on the whole hollucination theory (i probably spelled that wrong.).

abrams wanted us to have our own "godzilla" so i would assume he is planning on more movies with this creature, depending on movie sales and popularity. so i can't see how a hollucinagen (again sorry if mispelled) could be a factor.

also i don't know if it maybe another number clue or something but the baseball team won 18-0, so the opposing team scored no runs at all in 3 1/2 innings of play. for the lions to have hit 13 batsmen and have and 9 strikeouts in 3 1/2 innings without having the other team score a run is statistically impossible.

3 hit batsmen and 3 strikeouts per (minimum without giving up a run, assuming the other team never got a hit) in 3 innings would be 9 hit batsmen and 9 strike outs, wich would leave at least at least 2 more outs in the fourth to be considered "midway in the fourth inning". if the pitcher loaded bases again with hit batsmen in that inning it still is only 12 hit batsmen. so what about the last one? maybe a clue?

Welcome to the forums. Smile ^

I suspect it's just a case of bad math, but you never know. TPTB maybe just wanted to put a 18 in there.

I think Slusho is like an energy drink and the secret ingredient is like cocaine, but instead of using up the dopamine in the brain like cocaine it is acts like an artificial source of dopamine, so it gives a feeling of euphoria without the depression afterwards. It might also improve the thought processes so seniors with dementia can think clearly again. I also think that the monster is attracted by the ingredient, my guess is that it acts as pheromone for the creature.

Do you mean a bit like this...

Ref:- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drink_the_Kool-Aid#.22Drinking_the_Kool-Aid.22

Extract:- The idiomatic expression "drinking the Kool-Aid" was originally a reference to the Merry Pranksters, a group of people associated with novelist Ken Kesey who in the early 1960s travelled around the United States and held events called "Acid Tests", where LSD-laced Kool-Aid was passed out to the public (LSD was legal at that time). Those who "drank the Kool-Aid" passed the "Acid Test." "Drinking the Kool-Aid" in that context meant accepting the LSD drug culture, and the Pranksters' "turned on" point of view. These events were described in Tom Wolfe's 1968 classic, The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test.[4]

It is also now closely associated with the 1978 cult mass-suicide/murder in Jonestown, Guyana. Jim Jones, the leader of the Peoples Temple, convinced his followers to move to Jonestown. Late in the year, he then ordered his flock to commit suicide by drinking grape-flavored Flavor Aid laced with potassium cyanide. In what is now commonly called the "Jonestown Massacre," a large majority of the 913 people later found dead drank the brew. (The discrepancy between the idiom and the actual occurrence is likely due to Flavor Aid's relative obscurity versus the easily recognizable Kool-Aid.) The precise expression can be attested in usage at least as early as 1987[4]. One lasting legacy of the Jonestown tragedy is the saying, "Don't drink the Kool-Aid." This has come to mean, "Don't trust any group you find to be a little on the kooky side," or "Whatever they tell you, don't believe it too strongly."[1]

So in our case it would be 'Drinking the Slusho' and visualising a monster from the ID screened in glorious technicolour.

Good line of reasoning.
If you check the Myspace pages carefully, you also see most of the characters describing their hopes, desires, fears --- Hud goes off on a weird tangent about wanting to be a wild animal, and another on his blog about wanting to see himself from the inside out; Beth blogs about Things That Would Be In Her Hell; Rob mentions that he wishes he could surf (to impress Beth); etc. etc.

Could be possible that the DSI starts playing on those thoughts/fantasies in the movie...

Say DSN was in some way related biologically to the big monster. That stuff has gotta be packed with growth hormones for all the little girls and boys to enjoy.

Good thinking, smartmart. I think this idea deserves some renewed attention. I'm more convinced that the key to DSI is that it's some kind of drug, since MacDooble said it didn't even taste very good.
And, as brettoniasam pointed out, each myspace page seems to mention or allude to the hopes and dreams of the characters.

The fact the Lions pitcher hit so many batters is also really odd. NeoNK1 argued that it wasn't even statistically possible. I think we should try to figure out if NeoNK1 is right about that. And, on that note - the other team was the Nishio Dragons. "Nishio" is, amongst other things, the name for a method for solving Sudoku puzzles.

http://www.sudokuoftheday.com/pages/techniques-11.php

Is there some general/vague way this method, or something like it, can help us decipher these weird baseball stats?

I think we should look into that article about the little league game some more. I keep thinking about the title of the one MacDooble review that's about Tagruato's DSI: "Something New Where it's Least Expected." I would say that the Tagruato little league team is where I'd least expect to find some new information, or the info. that leads to a new site.

IF the stats are, in fact, impossible, then there's got to be some kind of code hidden in those stats; doncha think?

If the stats ARE possible, then I think the fact the pitcher hit so many batters is glaring evidence that the DSI only makes you think you can do whatever you deeply want to be able to do; but, in reality, you can't. The old people didn't really get younger, the pitcher didn't really become a good pitcher - the game had to be stopped because he was hitting so many batters!

Here's a crazy idea: The monster is, somehow, Noriko. I know, I know... Rolling Eyes But, she did disappear in the ocean way back when... and, if she's somehow mutated into some big seamonster thing, then her deepest desire would probably just be to be able to walk on dry land again. To be human again. I don't know though - that seems exceedingly ludicrous (and, NYC wasn't home to her, so why return there?). Just a thought.

Still, I think that little league article is hiding something. And, I like the theory, smartmart - good work.
