What next...
To forge or not to forge...

After recieving the email back from Tagruato, I'm torn between whether
to provide articles of incorporation under said business name, or just
push the issue of legality as a unneccesary step in the path of a profitable
venture.
I was fairly frank in the original letter...

I would like to be a part of spreading Noriko's dream and am confident
that the sales and distibution process in our high traffic store wil prove to
be a profitable venture for both parties involved. Slusho! Zooom!!

I look forward to quickly learning the process involved in preserving
Seabed Nectar and supplying it to all of my loyal customers, as well as
enjoying it myself as soon a spossible. The bi-weekly delivery should
prove to be an excellent incentive to many, I'm sure.

I am not concerned with FDA approval, or any other, as my interests
are much like yours, I assume: I would like to capitalize on the
miraculous health benefits and more importantly, profits, associated with
your new discovery Seabed Nectar. Please do your part in bypassing any
stumbling block in our path in regards to immediate reception of my new
preservation equipment and special tasty ingredients.

Haste makes waste.

work with you in spreading the joy of Slusho! all over the world!

In light of a storm of false claims of business purpose, we have been
forced to institute a verification policy. The first step is to forward
documents of authenticity. We will need a copy of your articles of
incorporation before proceeding with Slusho! distribution opportunity. We
apologize for the inconvenience this will cause you.

dr. Awkward, it's clear that they figure nobody is going to actually send them their company's information (if they're not just pretending), and so they don't expect anyone to actually go through with it.

If you send them your info, they will find an excuse for the process to not take place.

I say do it anyway, give them trouble :-p If you stress the unnecessary documents, it's easier for them to decline.

I think it's good that we're pursuing different strategies. More likelihood of getting closer and closer. . .

I'm trying to prod them for any unknown information, which could lead to other websites or ways to interpret old information.

Others are trying to establish a business arrangement, which could lead to real life Slusho. The Slusho cups, ingredient containers, or displays could leave more clues.

We'll just have to wait and see how Tagruato reacts. If someone has legitimate docs to push business further, there's a certain point where the game can't go. There might be some legal issues regarding a business arrangement from a real US company and a fake company that is supposed to be in Japan. There are some envelopes that shouldn't be pushed. I'm trying to keep things on my end as informal as possible.

Fehdman_Kassad, Nighthawk, and Trapped Under Ice mentioned either owning a business or sending articles. Hopefully they get a response soon. If they are ignored, then it might indicate that that wasn't the actual reaction they wanted. In that case, we'll try different responses to the "article email" in order to advance the game.

I own the Kalamazoo Convenience store company located in Kalamazoo ,MI .We Currently own and operate 15 different stores. On a recent trip to Japan I had the opportunity to try Slusho! Brand drinks and, just like you said, found I could not drink just 6!!! I was thrilled to see on your website that you now have distribution opportunities in the United States. I would love to place your drinks in my stores. In addition to my own I have good connections with one of the primary beverage distributors for the Midwest. I think that we could potentially make a TON of money together with Slusho! How do I begin the process to become a distributor? Please let me know.

I sent mine late Sunday night and woke up Monday morning with the response in my inbox. I think I got lucky. They probably check the email account in the morning. I'm probably in the same timezone as the email-checker.

My original email...

I work for one of the largest freight distributors in Southern Florida, with open access and several shipping lines, as well as several contacts, in the South American market. I would like to discuss some potential distribution opportunities with you for bringing Slusho! to the southeastern United States as well as branching in to major South American markets.

Look forward to hearing from you soon.

Got response October 15th @ 1:20pm.

Note that the 13th was a Saturday, and unless someone in Japan is a complete night owl (or hawk in your case) it was sent from somewhere in America because it was 4:20am tomorrow (oct 16) in Japan when you got your response back.

SLUSHO! Distribution.
Chocolate Rain, Chocolate Rain, Chocolate RAAAAAGGGGGGEEEEEEE!

"In light of a storm of false claims of business purpose"

Is it possible there is a news story with these claims. I mean, if it were true, you would not tell the general public you had a problem. You would only say this kind of comment if there were published comments reports somewhere that could be found.

It is possible there is a faky news website mentioning the "false claims" and what the claims are.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that any correspondence related to this game is coming from the U.S.

It would be interesting to see what kind of response is sent back after they receive the documents of corporation.

Does anyone think they will actually put a Slusho brand drink on the market? I'm kinda on the fence on that one.

My conversation with Tagruato

Here is the conversation I've had so far:
Quote:
Dear Mr. Koga,

Thank you for your speedy reply. I wasn't aware that your popularity in America was so great that people would pose as a company to obtain your product! They are not without justification, however. Attached is a copy of my incorporation articles, I hope they will be sufficient. Along with my previous questions, I
now have two more:

-Are there any issues of safety regarding storage or consumption Slusho,
regarding its low temperature?
-Should my business attempt to expand internationally (Canada or Australia), would the product be able to be shipped to those locations also?

Sincerely,

Phil Nicholas

To whom it may concern,

I am the proprietor of a series of gas stations across the west coast of the United States. My family and I enjoyed many of your Slusho drinks on our trip to japan, and I'm pleased to hear that you'll be bringing them to America. I do however have some questions regarding the sale of your product.

-Will you require Slusho to be the only frozen drink served within my
business?

-How often will the associated machinery need to be replaced/maintained?

Please contact me promptly, this venture will certainly be profitable for
both of us.

The email I'm sending these letters from is quite obviously not one of a successful businessman (.edu.au) is the standard prefix for all emails sent from Australian high schools and universities, so it seems to me that they're not looking for genuine businesses (yet).

I invented my own Documents of Authenticity from a template of the Texas version, we'll see how it goes down. I got my first reply in only a few days, hopefully this time Kanu will start answering my questions.
