Methinks that's just a wee bit of a federal crime, maybe a felony.
Nice of you to admit it here.

Oh, come now... I never really sent it for EH anyway. You don't know the history behind that one, I guess:

I'm well aware of the clusterf* that EH ended up being.
I don't remember reading your forum post about the supposed bomb threat, but I've slept a lot since that marketing project wannabe ARG went in the bowl and swirled.
My comment was a sarcastic and cautionary one. Wink

I am very interested to share Noriko's dream and spread Slusho! in the West. I have long been waiting to begin the spread of Slusho! here, something which I know everyone will enjoy as much, if not more, than the Japan. I would like to buy several Slusho! machines for my store.

Dear Kagashina

I am a large supporter of Slusho! It is my favorite drink and I always reccomend it to my friends. The west needs the bountifull taste and texture of Slusho! and I am more than willing to join the Slusho! Team. I would like to hear more about distrubution oppotunities.

Dear Mr. [My Name],

Thank you for your interest in becoming a distributor of Slusho! brand happy drink and joining the Tagruato family! We would be very excited to work with you in spreading the joy of Slusho! all over the world!

In light of a storm of false claims of business purpose, we have been forced to institute a verification policy. The first step is to forward documents of authenticity. We will need a copy of your articles of incorporation before proceeding with Slusho! distribution opportunity. We apologize for the inconvenience this will cause you.

Actually, my mistake: the "Ensuring..." quote is there. "Customer Service" is on a separate line, though.

So, what's the pattern here?

TBILL wrote:

I sent a legit email on 10/15 and have received no reply. So it's:

a) The address is getting swamped and response time is going to slow down considerably
b) There's a discernable pattern: who is getting a response, and why
c) Some combination of a & b
d) "JJ hates me"
e) All of the above

I'm going with "c" right now.

Here's the email I sent:

Dear Sir,

I am writing to you today to inquire into opportunities for Slusho! product placement on a college campus in the [region] of the United States. We are [university name], an engineering and technology university serving over 4300 students in the metropolitan [city name] area. I believe you will find your product well-placed at our institution. You will find not only do we have many thirsty students eager to consume your product, but a large number of highly skilled engineers and scientists capable of keeping your machinery functioning and your product at optimum temperature. I might add as well that in my department, we have several students who are very interested in the sorts of unique marketing campaigns that have become very popular here in the United States. Should you have internship opportunities available, I may be in a position to recommend students with experience in website design, corporate communication, and viral marketing. If you are interested in discussing this matter further, please contact me at this email address. I am cc'ing my Dean, [dean's name], who is also very interested in establishing a Slusho! presence at our university.

Sincerely,

[name], Chair

I'm thinking either the mention of "viral marketing" killed it, or the .edu domain. I had originally thought that if there was going to be a feelie aspect to this, having a Slusho! taste test on a college campus would be a no brainer.
