The Code Book on CD-ROM
interactive - free for personal/educational use

I'm not sure, maybe you guys already know about this, but I thought I would mention this just in case.

The Code Book by Simon Singh is available for download from the author as an interactive cd-rom. It's entirely free for personal/educational use.

download from here: http://www.simonsingh.com/Code_Book_Download.html

Oh, shiny!

Thanks for the tip, Sylvia - I *didn't* know about it. I have the book but it'll be wonderful to have in on my computer, too - I miss ctrl-f when I'm searching for something in a book. Wink

Two versions are available:

codebook.zip - the complete version, 600Mb, takes 3 hours to download on a standard household broadband connection (rated at 512kbps). Download codebook.zip http://www.marrouche.net/codebook/codebook.zip

code-book-lite.zip - a cut-down version with video clips removed, less than 10% the size of the full version, which takes less than 15 minutes to download on broadband. Download codebook-lite.zip http://www.marrouche.net/codebook/codebook-lite.zip
