(spec)The Drilling Station Names-Japan's 'Missing' Emperors
Missed you guys and haven't been keeping up, but...

But I noticed the drilling station names were the names of the first 14 japanese emperors. Jimmu, was supposedly Japan's founder and first emperor. Myths also say that he was a descendant of both the sun god and the sea goddess.

The drilling station near the US that is unfinished is the 14th mythical emp, Chuai. He was believed to be born three years after his fathers death. Another strange fact is that historians now say that these first 14 emperors were not emperors at all, and are giving that distinct 'first emperor' title to Chiua's son - Ojin.

Perhaps if someone has the time, draw a line connecting the dots from the first Station (emperor) to the last on a printed version of the map?

This will get you started and the line should be drawable in seconds with this helpful wikipedia link. Just follow the descendants links to keep the line going. If no pattern, the names are still a clue of sorts.

I tried drawing lines between the stations, according to the order of the emperors, but the resulting image didn't look like much of anything. It kind of looks like a fish, with the 'nose' of the fish being the Kosho station, but even w/the possible fish, there are other lines that don't fit.

Then again, I didn't print it out and use a ruler; I just wrote dots on a blank sheet for each station (and did my best to approximate their locations relative to each other). Maybe that's why I didn't get anything interesting.

did we try lines alphabetically?
or something like 1,14,2,13,3,12,4,11,5,10,6,9,7,8
just thinking out loud, not to mention did anyone notice that all but two of them have only five letters in their name, Suizei and Suinin have six

...and there's that cluster of five "K" names that all opened on the same day (Saturday, Feb. 25, 1995). ??

And
There's a reason we start at Jimmu every time the map refreshes.

If not connect the dots, something has to come of the fact that these names were used. There is a reason that these are the only emperors that historians say may have never ruled, all up until Chiua.
