Going off the assumption that our code is vigenere with a word(s) key, I have been trying to guess certain words to figure out the key. Like youthpastor mentioned it could be something like "the next phase" at the beginning. I have tried all the 4 letter words as this, eric, next, will, when, and maybe others I forgot. I have also tried the 3 letter words as and, you, the since they are common.

Working backwards here are some of the possible keys I have found:

Thats actually a good idea.. Nicole was doing that with letters, but I never thought to try it with numbers... here is a link that might help, that I found today:

this is a list of the most commonly used words in the english dictionary.. also if you go back, it has a list of the most commonly used letters also..

I'm working on a spreadsheet that will be easier to understand, and incase anyone wants to try this on their own they can add to it so they don't re-do anything.

If it is number based, working backwards with EFI as THE you get LYE or 12.26.05.

It's pretty easy once you get the hang of it.

1. Look at this picture:

It is a table of letters, the vigenere square.

2. Take part of the cipher:
Example the first 3 letters are:
CTJ

3. Guess the word. I will guess THE.

4. Start at the top row of the picture. Find the first letter of the word you are guessing. So for this example it is T.

5. Once you find T in the top row, stay on that line and go down until you find the ciphertext letter (which is C).

6. Now go all the way across to the left and find that letter. Which is J.

Repeat this and you get:
CTJ
THE
JMF (possible key)

Guys I just watched the video again, but this time in full screen, and something jumped out at me that I dismissed before. Another letter.

At the end, when Eric throws the roses on the ground, on the mailbox the letter K is there. Its a little blurry, but as I said, watch it in full screen view and its a little more visible... if this really is a letter then we have ARKY and (P2.. maybe)...here:

For what it's worth, i just tried prayk, and every combination ( i think.) i should have seen at least the first word and nothing came out.

i tried to stretch out abit with this. Earlier in this thread, someone said that the CM told them 'the key is in the video' So i tried 'inthevideo', and 'thevideo'. nada.

i then tried to think, well whats going on in this video. Lies / Sin / Murder / Confession / Deciet / Adultery / Questions / Answers. None of which gave any clues.

I'm sure you guys will have got a bit literal and thought of these too. Just getting them on the board to save anyone the chore of trying them again.

The last hint from the CM said (roughly) 'a clue to the key is where we've been before, and the answer to the code will tell us where to go next'

I actually tried 'Round the houses' to see if 'Wild goose chase' came out.

Maybe the pedigree puzzle? That never really panned out if I remember correctly.

Speaking of the pedigree. I believe that the woman who recieved the pills was either Sue's mother or sister in-law. This assumes we have the family lines correct on the puzzle picture.*
