 		I went to the Staff of the Magi website, and the "LaVelle Manor" looked right up my alley, so I clicked the link... the game looks like its going to be good, so I EMailed the Administrator like it said. I got a reply back really soon after.

Heres what I sent them:

Hello, and thank you for your interest in LaVelle Manor. We can tell you that it will not be until sometime in 2008, probably late 2008. Each one takes months of planning and right now we are about to launch our first Production with "What is this Game" and "What is this Movie?". There are others that will come before LaVelle as well. It may not even be until early 2009, but if everything goes as planned it will be late 08. Hope this helps. We will add you to our mailing list as well. Thanks again for the interest.

I dunno, I get the feeling from what Ive read on the website that Staff of the Magi knows their sh*t... I'll definitely be waiting to see how this pans out.

 		the only thing is i have never heard of these guys before, do you think they are ligit or is this possibly a fake company? Im guessing it is the first one but anything is possible, ya know.

 		Well they claim that 8 legends in game design are tied to secrecy about this game. We'll know theyre legit on Halloween when the teaser trailer is released... or maybe well know for sure on New Years Eve. Either way, we'll know for sure when we see what theyre capable of.

 		MAJOR UPDATE TO SOME QUESTIONS
I recieved an answer to some of our questions via my myspace:

We have noticed that people have voiced some interesting (sometimes comical to us) comments and concerns on the message board over at the UnFiction Forums.

We'd like to address a couple specifically.

Point 1.

The GAME TRAILER will launch on Halloween along with the Official Game Site and Registration. The MOVIE TEASER TRAILER will launch on New Year's Day at MIDNIGHT.

Point 2.

We will be using VERATAD Services to verify the AGE and ID of each player and the ONLY REQUIREMENTS will be Name, Birthdate, Zip Code, and e-mail Address. We will not sell or give away anybody's personal information and will only use the information to store in case you happen to be the winner. You MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER TO PLAY AND WIN.

Point 3.

We are a LEGIT Corporation that will be using "fake" elements like any other ARG would. NONE of the Productions listed on our Corporate Site are related to "What is this Game?" and "What is this Movie?". They are separate entities entirely.

Point 4.

Lastly, nobody has ever heard of us because we are a new company!!! Every company has to start somewhere and we have been fans of ARG's for a long time and knew it was the way to take things for our company. We believe interactive movies and ARG'S ARE the way of the future and we begin with "What is this Movie?" and "What is this Game?".

We look forward to your registrations and will see you on New Year's Day AT MIDNIGHT.

yea unfortunately i would guess if theyre doing zip code checks its open to the central 48 - however im sure the admins are lurking here and will correct me if im wrong Smile

This is good, now that we know they will not sell or give away anybody's personal information, but it is still a good idea to check out Veratad's (a third party) privacy policy to make sure they will not sell it.

 		They seem to have a bunch of games lined up, so if WITG turns out to be great, which the effort that has been put into it, points us to, then I cant WAIT for the other games. Its always good when games are recruiting a few months ahead of time. It relieves the insecurity that the game might implode after youve spent countless hours on it... no names mentioned of course ::COUGHadamworsleymiyarshouseshroudetcetcCOUGH::
