The theory about sign language was brought up the day that part of SLUSHO! was open. It was looked at heavily. Although some of it does look like sign language, no one here was able to figure it out yet, including me who knows a bit of sign language. But feel free to look into it more. It's just it was heavily researched already.

Use the (Search) button please, and make sure you arent reposting old theories or that you arent putting them on the wrong thread.

ughh clownnation you dont know what you are getting yourself into. hmg can and probably will go off on a tangent about how you're a nazi. Rolling Eyes

Ok so here's another one that I don't know whether it's been talked about before, so I'm posting it here...

Look at the people in the back row. What they are doing is called "Ameslan" - commonly called "American Sign Language".

Anyone know sign language that can read the sentence here?
There are very easily identifiable individual letters and numbers in there BUT several of them are actual word signs - an entire word in one sign. There has got to be a clue in this.

This has been discussed in Slusho threads:

A decent amount of discussion of sign language awhile back in this thread.

I'm saying that it could have been the person that emailed me. But it's definitely not me - I still think it is OOG.

Okay I found the template:

and this

3Drobot template

AWESOME FIND!

Unfortunately, it doesn't really prove anything Sad These flash kits could have just as easily been used by PMs or gamejacks.

However, it is more likely that PMs would have done a better job.

To be honest, this is the nail in the coffin which proves to me that this is definitely OOG, as i questioned the robot image on the site b4 because it had no real connection to the story altho it looked professional. but since seeing the template, the pm's wouldnt of just copied another image from another website, it would of been an original pic. also where is the bold futura logo or tagruato logo? definitely OOG. Very Happy

Finding the templates tells us that nothing we see from them would have any meaning relative to the movie, as they would not have been created by the PMs to impart any meaning. It also shows that the site didn't take nearly so much effort to create, making it far more easily done in a short time by a single person acting as a gamejacker.

Yes, I think that is pretty much the nail in the coffin that will seal the lid.
Although some elements in the official sites have been taken from free online resources, nowhere near this much has been lifted from any such free library.

Edit: I poked around the root of the site and seems most of the templates shown are meant to be pay templates, but I didn't find those two templates in my rudimentary navigation of the site. Ripped templates maybe?

Oh and another one, thought it might be worth mentioning, I found this in bold.swf:

Image_38.png = lorem ipsum dolor

Image_41.png = 3D

OOPS! Smile
Whoever made this forgot to remove these from the flash library of the swf.
Lorem ipsum dolor is usually present in templates right? it acts as a text filler

"Feel free to look into it more"? Why thank you so much for your permission. Wink

There is no SEARCH button on my screen. BELEIEVE ME, I've looked for it. That's why I was polite and posted the stuff in an already made thread instead of creating a new one. I think that after I just spent the past two days in a debate here about this very issue I would have used a search button if there was one, don't you?

Wow, I'm so impressed with your ability to do stuff like that. Seriously! That's pretty amazing. Wish I knew how to do that. How in the world did you learn how to search for that?

Interestingly enough, if you try to interact with the pages at the sites, you'll find that, just as with the Bold Futura site, you cannot access anything beyond the menu keys. All pages are locked. AND when you click CONTACTS key, it is all fake data; and you can fill in the email info but the SEND button is locked. Here's a screen shot of that page.

But I do have to hand it to who ever made this stuff... it looks pretty dang good! It's some beautiful work. I wouldn't mind having a site like this! If this IS an OOG, it doesn't seem to me like the person doing it is demonstrating hatred for the game/movie or seeking attention (since we don't know who he/she even is), but instead he/she seems to have a marvelous sense of imagination; and after all, he/she hasn't given us any misleading information. In fact, he/she seems to be ADDING to the excitement of the game. He/she is obviously someone who knows their way around a computer and has time on their hands to do something like this.

No matter what everyone says, whether an OOG or not, it's just delicious!

And BTW, if you go to the main page of the site offering the template, it shows that the person had to pay hundreds of dollars to use this template. So someone has really gone out of their way to make this OOG - if it truly is one.

There's nothing "interesting" about it - at least from the sense of a "greater mystery" aspect that I'm reading into your post. This is simply a blank template the people can purchase and use as their own website. Fill in your own data, create your own links to the pages you need and presto! instant website. The other pages aren't "locked", they just aren't there. It's for the purchaser of the template to fill out from that initial design. There are a hundred other sites just like this on the web.

To me the "interesting" part of this design is the use of the technologically advanced super escalators... wow...

My point was that the Bold Futura site doesn't allow access, just like the template.

Oh good lord nevermind

Excellent catch. I looked at those images in Sothink, but since they were partially transparent I didn't see anything on the white background so I thought they were blank images. Guess I need to change the background color next time Smile

As i said earlier in this thread, it seems that the people controlling the viral portion of this game have been flying by the seat of their pants.

1. Slusho when it first went up.
2. 1-18-08.com forwarding to Paramount in order to add a sound file?
3. Being able to hack into Jamie's photobucket.
4. The subsidiary links on Tagruato being dead links to companies that are suppose to be relevant to the game.
5. Bold Futura putting up a site for a few hours that obviously isn't finished (spelling errors, library files not removed).

It does make one wish that they had a handbook or program to keep up with what's supposed to happen. Unfortunately that's not the case here, the people in charge of the viral marketing either don't have a clear plan of how they intend to market this movie or are deliberately trying to confuse us. Quiet honestly I expected it to be much more organized.

Hmmmm, I'm beginning to wonder if 1-18-08 really even has a game or if someone just made us all think there was and we've been led on a wild goose chase.
