[META] ARGs and Copyright Law
Questions anyone?

I'm going to be attending an upcoming panel discussion on the internet and copyright law at the Association of the Bar of the City of New York on October 29th ( the day before my birthday). Anyway, I don't think you have to be a member to attend. I'm posting the information page link as well as the full text so you can see the heavy hitters who will be speaking. (maybe someday soon I'll be in that group. )

check for info on program Free registration is required and is linked to that page... You DON'T need to be a bar association member to attend. I've quoted the text below to give you a sense of who will be speaking.

The Internet and Copyright: Public Policies Collide

A distinguished panel representing a cross-section of today's leading commentators, front-line litigators and senior corporate IP counsel will debate the legal and public policy issues arising in Perfect 10 v. Google, Viacom v. YouTube, and other cutting-edge cases at the crossroads of copyright and the internet.

Moderator:
ROBERT J. BERNSTEIN
Law Office of Robert J. Bernstein

Speakers:
JONATHAN ZITTRAIN
Professor of Law, Harvard Law School; Co-Founder and Co-Director, Berkman Center for Internet and Society

DAVID O. CARSON
Associate Register for Policy and International Affairs, United States Copyright Office

JEFFREY N. MAUSNER
Law Offices of Jeffrey N. Mausner

ANDREW P. BRIDGES

San Francisco, CA

ALEXANDER MACGILLIVRAY
Associate General Counsel, Products and Intellectual Property, Google, Inc.

STANLEY PIERRE-LOUIS
Vice President and Associate General Counsel, Intellectual Property & Content Protection, Viacom, Inc.

Registration is free and I highly recommend that anyone interested should attend.

I'm posting this in META instead of social interactions because I'm interested in knowing what issues/questions people would like to have addressed on this topic. My goal is to go with a list of question we would like to have answered and either get those questions answered there on the spot or network with these folks so we can get answers later. I'm not yet an expert on copyright and the internet but I plan to learn.

So, any questions/ discussion/ interest on ARGs and copyright law? If you look over the presenters, this is a distinguished group who will be receptive to discussing the kinds of IP issues that arise in ARG design, planning, etc.
