 		[SPEC] A weird splice job by Cloverfield...
are the person we think is Marlena (?) and the "other girl" the same person?
I don't know if anyone else discovered this, but I was playing around with the pictures on 1-18-08 and found something interesting. NO, not the so-called face in the hair. I believe that the two faces of the girls are the SAME PERSON, with the two pictures possibly taken at short intervals from each other and spliced together! It is clear that there was SOME sort of tampering in the ORIGINAL picture because if you zoom in and look at the background between the two faces you will see that the area where the mystery face in the hair is has a cut line directly above it which does not flow with the background image above it. In a way it is good that everyone took note of the fake alien face in the hair because that is where the clue is - the spliced picture line.

Now I know that I did not align the two images perfectly and I'm SURE someone will say it doesn't match because of this. But I am not an expert at doing stuff like this so I couldn't properly line it up. But if you look at the lips and the teeth and the perfect round nostrils and the facial slopes on both sides of the nose, and the brown eyes, you will see that it is in fact the same person. Someone might say that the shape of the eyes look different, but don't be thrown off by the mascara bleed on one eye which makes them look different. Give me your POLITE feedback, please.

I'm new here and haven't had a chance to read every single thread (nor do I have the time) to know what obscure things might have already been discussed. So you'll have to pardon me. What thread is it discussed in? I would be interested to know what proof there is that A) one of them is "Marlena", B) that anyone knows who "Marlena" is since no one but Rob is named in the trailor, C) that anyone has proof that this is "Marlena", since the only images we have are from the movie site and the trailor.

On the other hand, everything about the details of these two faces is identical (as nearly identical as ANYONE's left and right side is). The odds of two women on the set having the exact same teeth, lips, nose and nostrils, with dark hair and brown eye and sloping upper cheecks, has got to be astronomical.

The first place you should go is to the list of "in-game" official websites, here:

http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=20604

Also, add http://www.tagruato.jp to that list, which was just launched about three weeks ago, and is a major *official* cluesite now.

You'll notice that the list of IG sites includes 7 Myspace pages -- the known main characters in the movie. Among those are Marlena Diamond, played by actress Lizzie Caplan, and Lil Ford, played by Jessica Lucas. Both are two *different* actresses.

And yes, the similarities between Lizzie Caplan and Jessica Lucas were noted early on as soon as the 1-18-08.com website first opened. This was back in early July, so you'd have to dig back that far just to find any relevant discussion....since everyone understands now that they *are,* in fact, two different actresses.

But feel free to dig....also check out http://cloverfieldclues.blogspot.com/ for a very good summary of what is known and unknown about the movie.

I didn't say anyone was being rude to me. Why would you say that? And why do you think I "took offense"? I've never done anything to you. Why would you say those things about me? That was really mean of you. I didn't say anything to indicate that I was offended so why in the world would you say something like that? I have no idea what you're talking about.

But thank you for those web references. I still don't see how just because Lizzie and Jesica are two different people that this indicates that the movie picture shows the two of them. I mean, if we're gonna pull names out of the sky and apply them to the people in that picture, let's go for someone cool like Cher or maybe one of the Olsen twins. They sort of look like the woman in the picture.

The defensive tone to your writing alone suggests you've been offended by something.

and they're not names out of the sky... they're from the Official Myspace Pages of characters in this movie. These pictures have been studied ad-nauseam, i'd trust the guys when they say it's been covered.

people are trying to help you. You are being rude, and you were being rude in your earlier post went you starting ranting like a 12 year old "Oh i guess you guys know everything, and you guys were on the set when they filmed"

So thats why the last guy says he doesnt want to sound rude. they gave you good references. You are mad that no one is into your theory. The reason why is because others had that theory months ago, and it was picked about and differences were found.

To me the eyes are completetly different, its not just the mascera. Im an artist and I do portraits often. It is simular but not the same girl.

Take the time to do your homework, go back and look over the old threads (there is a search button) and you will see that these pics were disected intensely.

Not please try not to flame me too hard, again I am trying to help you.

 		The same knee jerk reaction all over again. Someone comes, posts before reading the 'read this first' post and he is greeted with a cold attitude.

But putting that aside...

I didn't know this had been discussed. I did a search, and apparently everyone quotes glove on 'finding' that the girl on the left is Marlena. all I could find about it is when glove corrects someone here: http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=20556&highlight=picture+marlena

I don't think this is a split image, but I do not think that's marlena. Check out the picture of her space where she's side by side with that guy: http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friendID=201292208&albumID=0&imageID=4479817 and compare it to the picture on the 11808 site. They're very different. Just to point the obvious, Marlena has green or blue eyes, the girl on the picture has brown eyes. And her nose shape is really different too.

 		I agree. That definitely is not the same girl "spliced" into two different pics. If so, that would be one ugly girl that would rival the Toxic Crusader. However, I don't think either one of those girls is LenaDia.

All that I know for sure is that the girl on the left is the hot one. Oh wait... or is it the girl on the right? Either way one of them is pretty hot.

 		It's not the same girl. The girl on the right is Lily; the girl on the left is Lena. I have nothing to back this up - just my opinion. Even with the two halves of the picture merged into one face, it still doesn't seem like the same face to me. The skin tone is off for one thing.

They are both pretty, and the merging is striking; but, it's clearly NOT one and the same person. Again, just my opinion.

Who thinks it's one and the same woman?
