Second, with all of the things on that site, how could anyone not affiliated with Slusho possibly come up with something so un-guess-able, gimmicky and clever as "click six on red crab" and how would ANYONE get the concept to do an anagram on cornbread to come up withe CLICK SIX on red crab. I discovered that the red crab changes when you click on it without knowing anything about "cornbread" and "click six on red crab" - AND you only have to click it ONCE to get it to change. The fact that there are six different faces, one for each click... well, if anyone here is so clever and brilliant to have come up with this ought to be working FOR Paramount making games instead of being here playing them. It is just WAY too coincidental. Sorry.

Red Walrus put together "on red crab six times" after watching the 2nd video on Jamieandteddy.com. She says something like "I got - I figured out the answer to your question, six. Six times. And the answer that you got wrong is cornbread."

Didn't know what to make of "six times" or "cornbread" in the video, so Red Walrus figured out "on red crab" from "cornbread" and added the "six times" to it....hence "on red crab six times."

Thank-you Nenya. Smile

i am not sure what to think about for happy talk any more...
Shocked I'm sorry I was a noob too! but for the love of god if your going to mention things that may have been bought up before your eventually going to look like a retard or at best a "colbybrook"(look it up using the search facility) On red crab six times was submitted to the happy talk by a senior (rank) member on this very board!
So please noobs read the intro, post a hello, then before you begin speculating type the relevant words into the sites search box to see if its been bought up before! most of us have ruled out the happy talk as it appears most maybe not all have been fan submitted!
Other than that I'm done!
oh and rabbit dont dismiss the numbers! youll hurt my buddy hurleys feelings! Wink

Vlaka... if your still reading over these boards, I think I may have been the only one who understood you.

What I got out of his message was this: He said he doesnt trust Happy Talk anymore, seeing as "On red crab six times" was submitted by a forumer, how can you tell whats ACTUALLY a clue and whats not? Therefore, its not trustworthy.

Lemme know if thats what you meant Vlaka. Smile

*EDIT* Also, Locke... why did you have to be SO harsh? Calling him a noob, retard, and the next Colby Brook all in one go... what was all that about?

It's more like "on red crab" is just an anagram of "cornbread". We still have no idea what cornbread means.

I think the thing to remember here is that there were thousand of fan submitted quotes to the Slusho! site (I myself sent about 15 in an attempt to find out what got posted). The important thing is that someone (PMs) went through the submitted quotes and DELIBERATELY CHOSE which quotes to put on the site. Every fan submitted quote that the PMs chose was either:

A) Something that accidentally or cleverly hit upon the Slusho! role in Cloverfield, or

B) Something that would misdirect or discombobulate the people reading the quotes to throw them off the trail...

There are many potential clues in the quotes (if'n this be a ARG) hiding in plain site.

You left out:
C) Something they found really funny that'd trip up only those so entranced with the whole project that they probably forget to eat waiting for site updates.

I mean come on, "BLOOP!"? "Slusho is people!"?
Those are just flat funny, good recursive humor. These people running the internet part are geeks too, and we should know that geeks love anything recursive.

I might not have any of your fancy university learnins, but by usin the word recursive, did you mean sub-reference? If so, I agree, there is no way I could resist the Slusho! is People line...

???
If you please re read my post i said and i quote " if your going to mention things that may have been bought up before your EVENTUALLY GOING TO look like a retard or at best a "colbybrook" I didnt call him anything other than a noob! which isnt an insult really!
Im not an aggressive or nasty person, if it has been interpretted as so i do apologise! also if you pm vlaka I did send him a pm to apologise if id offended him!
Also youll see yourself how frustrating repeated subjects, thoughts, etc are when they get bought up again in a new thread, rather than take the time to read "new posters read here first" threads or timelines of events!
also see the help with this thread that i aided a new person on! he asked for help and i did!

Did you read how I interpreted his message? If so, you might see that your entire comment was, even if not intended to be nasty or mean, not needed... seeing as he had already knew that someone sent it in. Nowhere in his post did he say "hey, happy talk said 'on red crab six times'! It must be something new!" He simply said, "well Happy talk said 'on red crab six times' so... i dont know if it can be trusted."

I can see how his message could be easily misinterpreted.
