It's one of the best Batman books out there, and easy to follow along with since it happens so early in the series. I'm super psyched for the movie!
That it is. I'm reading it now.
GOD who could Holiday BE!?!??!?!?
It's driving me nuts!
I mean, it's obvious who it COULD be, but....
It just doesn't fit why that person would kill based on holidays....
Still. If this is directly based on the Long Halloween I'm watching it opening day.
Definitely.

Story Spec It is cool.
I can see how the stories can sort of blend together. Batman Begins really didn't have anything from Scarecrow until about 45 minutes into the movie, so i can see a Killing Joke-type main plot as the Joker's coming out party that "transitions him from a typical mob goon to full fledged super-villain", with Harvey's end of the Long Halloween story running as a sub-plot until the third act of the film, or more likely setting up the third film that Christian Bale mentions here .
For now, however, I'm hoping this is counting down to some activity for us a bit earlier then we expect. Should we start checking the obituaries in major papers for holiday murders starting on Halloween? Maybe start looking for an IG Gotham newspaper online?

I'm pretty positive that Harvey
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
will become Two-Face by the end of the film, judging by the rotting pumpkin on wss. It'd be strange to set up for it like that and not go for it.
And although LH is pretty long I don't think it'd work split up that way.
I didn't know about the third film, though. Now I'm extra-psyched!

Aaron Eckhart comments about Two Face in the movie here . The most interesting comment that I noticed was
Quote:
"There are a few scenes I am dying to do. We've done a few… but the scene that I really want to do is in October ."
Now I'm really getting excited! That could mean A LOT, especially if the part he's referring to is ARGish!

I heard that the face looked like the joker from Batman: The Long Halloween.

What face?
If you're referring to the pumpkin, it's not the joker.
That pumpkin was the first clue the main antagonist (I won't say who that was, the story's a murder mystery) left behind.
You can see the pumpkin on the cover of the first issue, I think.

Yep.
And the pumpkin itself is MUCH gnarlier than before.
It happened on midnight on my clock, so I think it's going by our own system clocks being that I'm in the Central Time zone.
But I suggest that you check whysoserious.com near midnight.
Oh, and Groovewaffle:
Don't worry. He will.
An unreleased trailer (that was sent only to producers and certain critics) proved that.

Some weird things I found in the source of WSS:
Quote:
form name="form1" method="post" action="Default.aspx" id="form1"
input type="hidden" name="__VIEWSTATE" id="__VIEWSTATE"
I suck with HTML so I don't know if that means that there will be a form, or possibly something else.

Ok, I realize that the pumpkin is to symbolize Two-Face (so no flaming!), but I can't help but wonder if seeyouindecember.com is going to have something a little bit early (mid to late november).

I'm going over, and looking through, various comics to see if "See you in December" has any significance, but I have yet to find anything.
Oddly enough I found this on Wikipedia (WITH SOURCES!!)
Quote:
In February 2007, Aaron Eckhart was confirmed to play Harvey Dent. Eckhart has stated that the Two-Face persona will make an appearance in the film. Goyer, however, has suggested this is not the case.

To avengedsamurai7 (because I was simulposted):
Oh, I wasn't flaming you. I honestly didn't know which face you were referring to. Sorry I gave the impression that I WAS flaming you; that wasn't my intention.
If seeyouindecember.com opens, and I wouldn't be surprised if it did, it may indeed come a bit early.
But something is DEFINITELY going to go down at the stroke of twelve tonight.
Okay, I'd much rather believe Aaron Eckhart than Goyer on the grounds that Eckhart would remember the 2+ hours it may take to look like Two-Face.

Yeah I didn't post the rest of the paragraph, because it really didn't have to do with that, but it also said that there will be some makeup involved, and the rest would be CG.

Oh, cool.
They're taking the Davy Jones approach.
I'll bet Aaron was thrilled to hear that.
