I wonder if the village behind the toucan is the village we're 'looking' for?

has anyone else visited the main site (where you enter codes for the dominos) and gotten the survey? I just did - and quite frankly told them I was not happy with the apparent misdirecton and/or stalling of the game

I've had the survey. I must admit I laughed at the question which asked how long had I spent in the room and 10 minutes or more was the longest time! I must've spent hours in there. Once that survey launched, it seemed to set "Community" to zero, although that could just be conincidence.

The swimmer picture is a scene from one of the older TV adverts, I don't believe it's any part of the clue.

Although, I could be wrong!

Domino 8
Blog

From the Guinness blog:-

Host, Juan Ramon (the fictional Mayor of the Argentinian village where the advert is set) leads the hunt to complete eleven interlinked tasks – each one solved reveals a short clip with another clue embedded in it. Only when all the clues are solved will the code be fully cracked and the full magic of the ad revealed for the very first time. Click here to race your way to the ultimate reward of unlocking the ad.

Once the series of clues has been solved the focus will move from being the first to see the ad to being the one to win a solid gold domino. These will be given away weekly for 6 weeks, and you must have solved all the clues to go into the draw for the chance to win. Additionally random Guinness goodies will be given away to anyone who has registered for the game.

We hope you like it! Please feel free to let us know what you think.

A couple of people have asked for help with 8 on the blog. I think the above confirms the answer is in the video not the home page so someone is Bu******* us I think.

Why is their most famous advert (tick tock - horses in surf) not on the official website & code protected if accessed through the blog?

Also the Horoscope on myspace:-

Although it may seem like your life is on the edge of something new, you cannot see around the corner to tell what's coming next. Unfortunately, intelligence and logic won't reveal where the shifting tides will take you. It's time for faith and trust. Have faith in the wisdom of the changes unfolding around you and trust that, as you move through these changes, your life will get better.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh

I thought it was only open to the UK but when I entered the prize draw by clicking "join" there was an option for the US.

I didn't get any survey, but yep my community counter has been set to zero.

If someone on another site has solved domino 8 and isn't sharing info (despite they probably got most of there clues solved via site in a roundabout sort of way) then they ought to be thrown off that community for hoarding info.

lol, very passionate aren't we. you must remember, what you post on the net will always be exploited to someone's personal advantage. The game is intended for individuals to solve the clues by themselves and win the prize. "Hoarding" information is how the game is designed for entrants.

For everyone waiting for Pedro. He has had a bit of a long siesta but I understand he will be back in work sometime towards the end of this afternoon.

Direct Traffic site

Most forums have at least one clown who likes to mess with things and go on little power trips about how they're superior to everone else. S/he might be theirs. Nevertheless, someone has to be first.

http://www.guinness.com/gb_en/ads/classic/1990sTVs/surfer/Guinness.com+-+The+Ads+-+Classic+Ads+-+TV+Ads.htm

is the only one I can find on the main site and works the same as the others.

The "Swimmer" campaign was called Swimblack.

Domino 8 - The Bull

Having followed all 81 pages & reached Domino 8 I'm stuck like the rest of you / us!

I have put the picture of "El Che" the bull into Microsoft Office Picture Manager (I haven't got any other picture editing software!) and played around with contrast / brightness / colour etc.

There are numbers on that Bull !

Unfortunately...........I can't make them all out!

I thought they could be (working from head to tail of the beast)

1 6 4 8 5 6 but that doesn't work.

I now looking at various combinations of other numbers (but no luck so far!)

If anybody else has fancy photoshop / editing software - please have a go and let us know?

Best wishes & good luck!

Its also supposed to be a bit of fun, and my point was that it is more than likely that they gained some advantage through the hard work put in by the many on here from the US (and I think this had to be the first forum to move on it because i didn't see any others til after I found this as a result of being stuck at no 6) who haven't got a chance of winning because of the whole "open to UK residents" condition.

It wasn't intended to be offensive, just a comment based on the apparent brag that was being made without any help for the thousands of others who have been trying to solve no 8.

Apologies if it came across a little abrupt, not my intention. Embarassed
