Outside of the Box

Maybe we are not thinking outside-of-the-box enough.

I saw this a long time ago, but that was way before all the meat mania began.

To quote a website:
"We ve hidden it somewhere on the Internet and are relying on savvy web surfers to hunt it down for us by following a tricky series of hidden messages, clues, and puzzles. It s an alternate reality game spread across the web that only the diligent and those willing to thing outside of the box will work out."

Since the meat is the obvious, it is not thinking outside of the box.

Have to say its a bit hard to think too far out of the box on this particular clue when we know that some of the information that was on the meat site has since been removed and that info pointed to Pedro.

So do we keep thinking or wait? I would assume with it being Monday here, that any errors would have been fixed today, so I am going down the route now & looking into the musical instruments that were knocked over in the street :S

Im all outta ideas on the meat angle Sad

After reading the 66 pages I thought I'd join, I found this site whilst searching for one of the earlier sites.

I would have expected domino 11 to be the toughest one, but we'll just have to play the waiting game with 8 for now.

Could this be the breakthrough we've been waiting for??

A quick search for Pedro GuzmaN on Facebook has just unearthed this chap (Hint - go to the bottom of the page).

It might be a red herring and a facebook account set up by someone trying to find stuff out, but... whaddya think? Worrth a look?

It might be a dummy, but... hey, worth a look?

The frustration of looking for this clue, i must of entered a quarter of the 999999 possible codes so far, is only worsened by reading the same thing 3 billion times! OK i exagerrate, but you know what I mean, also in reply to a lot of the mad theories, yes this is going to be difficult but it is for the general public and wont require a degree in computer science to figure out, think outside the box but not outside 99% of the populations IQ.
I still think it has something to do with the numbers that can be seen in the meat, although the vagueness of some of them, leaves too may combinations of the code to cope with, ie does the chorizo represent 1 11 or 8, and the two chickens could be 0 8 or 3, thanks foer everyones help so far and good luck with the rest. Another 2 days and i think vegetarianism beckons Smile

Not a flame, just a reminder that this thread is long & searching & reading it can help immensely - this info was first found on October 28th
See original post This was found back on page 14.

And again on page 15

New information is a contribution, rehashing old information just increases the noise ratio in the thread. While we appreciate the new sleuths joining us, we again BEG that you search before posting to be SURE that you are not repeating info already covered.

For the sake of thinking out of the box
Lunatic thought of the day - nothing new but a golden light maybe

If ARG tells a narrative, here's what I see here - apart from the obvious village story....

"This year the sequence is thought to contain over 500,000 objects" - from Inclinar el Punto source

The mith of El Dorado (I'm aware that people have mentioned this already, my point is the 500 thousand in it)

"It was the ceremony for the accession of a new Muisca chief on Lake Guatavita which gave rise to the legend of 'El Dorado' - 'The Gilded Man' (...) Estimating that one thousand pilgrims might have visited Guatavita each year and that each visitor threw in five objects, he arrived at the figure of about 500,000 offerings, worth, in 1807, some 300 million dollars" source: http://www.eremite.demon.co.uk/Tairona/1pages/seca/a6eldor.html

"including an earthquake, from the hand of Mama Pacha" - from Domino Dorado source

"In Inca mythology, Mama Pacha or Pachamama is a fertility goddess who presides over planting and harvesting. She causes earthquakes" - source Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pachamama

Mayahuel, Pedro's aunt in facebook.

In Aztec mythology, Mayahuel is the goddess of the maguey plant and of fertility. Also said to be the good of Alcohol.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mayahuel

http://atheism.about.com/od/aztecgodsgoddesses/p/MayahuelAztec.htm

Then I thought: where would you find a golden domino? In the museum of golden stuff, probably? Also a great place to place an ad or anything about a golden domino, etc etc. I did found the museum, but nothing else...

Museo del Oro, in Bogota

It's at least the second time that a facebook has been removed within the last 3 days, there was another one for the site a couple of days ago. We're still no closer than we were a couple of days ago.
