I only lurked, but it was a fun little story. Also, it didn't implode, and games that make it to the end are becoming an increasingly rare commodity around here.

Hi guys, apparently I'm allowed to post here now so here goes Smile

Thanks to everyone who played at any point throughout my first ARG!

As my first time creating and PMing it was more of an experiment on my behalf, I originally planned for the idea to be a much bigger game but after a while decided the story was a bit too cliche (secret cult organisation, evil super computer etc.) so i simply cut huge chunks out the story then plastered over the cracks the best i could and launched it just to see how it went. I hope you enjoyed at least some of it anyway!

So that said i would like to apologise for the weaker parts of the game, I have learnt TONS from you guys, too much to write here but two main things that jump to mind are learning what kind of puzzles are actually easy or impossibly hard from the players point of view and how important a good trailhead is. This one was kinda TOO vague and didn't give any idea of what the game would be about, or even suggest a catchy title.

I read a couple of times recently that a trailhead is best thought up last in order to reflect the game that has been planned, i think that's a good idea and i'd recommend it to other noob PMs like me Smile

My next game I might also have NO CIPHERS just to be different, Laughing HEX (and binary, oct etc.) alone for example is virtually pointless imo and again perhaps cliched, I still like Vig though as it's more about guessing/finding the keyword which has wider possibilities...

Anyway i'll stop blabbing now. Once again I hope you enjoyed it, Alex, Mel, Aber, Colyer (he's alive), Veritas (also still around, don't ask...), Turner, Hilton and Graham say hi and thanks for all the great emails you sent them, it was great fun corresponding with you guys!

I might do a chapter 2, it will be much better, I promise Smile
However my next ARG is something completely different (I really do mean completely) so I hope you guys will enjoy that one too, but you won't know it's me til it's over!

Anyway that's way too much writing to read (sorry) so I'll shut up now, if anyone has any questions then feel free to post here and I'll do my best to answer them, if they're reasonable Wink

(Am I the only one who absolutely loves when the PMs come out to say "hiii! was me!"? I'm so fierce about stuff being very, very much TINAG all the way through then at the end, curiosity just takes over xD)
