[UPDATE] SilverLadder ON HOLD

Quote:
Passengers,
There has been much blurring of reality and fiction within this world that we've created here together. However, due to a very real loss outside of our little world, everything is on hold for a while.

This is not a joke, this is not a "clue," this is not a metaphor, this is as real as it gets. There are no lines to read between here. Take some time off from this, please. Go spend that time with those you love. This isn't another "vacation" from silverladder. This is a very stark realization brought about by a very difficult tragedy: We are not guaranteed tomorrow. We are not guaranteed that we will have those we love around us tomorrow.

You know that conversation you've "been meaning to have" with someone important to you? Go have it. Don't put it off. You are not guaranteed that you'll get to have it tomorrow. Don't let the sun go down without hugging those you care about and making those you love aware of how much you love them. Forget about how being sincere can make you feel somewhat awkward sometimes. That awkwardness is much easier to deal with than the regret of not having told someone enough how much you love them and respect them before they're gone.

We will all be unvailable and unaccessible for a while. Everything else will go according to schedule. But this is so much bigger than any plans we may have. This is real life. And we all need to go live it for a while.

God Bless,
The Ace of Spades

Oh.... my God.

edit: and a move totally unlike me, (for anyone that really knows me, at least) I went outside my office and prayed.
I haven't prayed in *years.*

In an attempt to ignore some of the implications and possibilities of this update, I am taking at least a few days off from the chat. You'll see me around uF and you can email me, but... I miss my family. I miss my cats.

I'm sure you understand.

Well... that was sudden.

I hope all is well with the cards... and I need the break too.

Just as life slows down enough for me to come back, this happens... Sad

Good luck, Cards. You know you have our sympathies and love and we await your return...

Oh what sad irony... to have been so busy taking care of 'real life' and family only to turn around and realise that in doing so I made the assumption that new found friends were thriving.

To my virtual family and friends: I love you all! Please take care. I shall never take your health and happiness for granted again.
