But I'm thinking of what Sarah said, "Love is watching someone die"
So who's going to watch you die?...

Hasn't there already been confirmation about the official trailer coming out before Beowulf?

No official confirmation.
The was also a rumor that it was going to shown before Stardust , then it was Resident Evil: Extinction , then the Transformers DVD , then I heard Saw 4 .
Of course the studio is not going to deny it - it is good publicity for both movies.
However, I still voted "YES"

i just think it's funny how so many ppl will literally go to see beowulf just to see the trailer... i mean some ppl would prob be willing to pay the ticket just to see the trailer and then leave lol... :-p
i haven't heard much about this movie... is it suppose to be good at least or no?

JFTeren, I was gonna go anyways. The story is wicked, and the CGI/digital live action is sick. They're doing this thing where it looks like live action, but it's actually video game-like graphic. Except a lot better, not like "E.T.: The Game" graphics.
Screen cap:
Thats digital, baby!

to be honest, it wouldnt surprise me if the CryEngine2 could produce a better image
*reciently downloaded the Crysis demo*
*EDIT* still looks pretty good though I must say. Looks like the movie will be pretty interesting too... if there is a 1-18-08 trailer infront of it, that'd be the icing on the cake then wouldnt it?

I've been of the opinion it'll be before Beowulf since the first I seriously considered what movie it might be placed with. I only did that as a result of studying the idea of the trailer being before Resident Evil: Extinction.
I've read a good bit of the original Beowulf poem in a barely-sort-of-translated-middle-English copy. It's a serious slog, but it's worth it, especially if you get past some of the really thick embellishments characteristic (to the point of caricature) of Norse Sagas. Actually, it reminds me a bit of Vernon MacDooble's writing style. (Hmmm, think someone may have been hinting at something?)
I like the story though, ever since reading a much more modern and abbreviated version as part of an English and Literature class in middle school. When I was poking around the movies to come to find a candidate and saw that it was being made into a movie, I was interested in seeing it without knowing when it came out. This is part of what consider supporting evidence for the trailer being with it.
The 'realistic CGI' here reminds me of the first serious attempt to make a visually realistic anime movie - Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. Consider the quality of that and compare what we are seeing now. I'd say there's a significant improvement. I look forward to seeing this, trailer or not.

That's an excellent point. Wasn't Vernon's first review from a Scandinavian country, as well?

Precisely.
It was for a restaurant in Norway, called Garbanzos... with a Japanese Chef.
Fellini would be proud.

Garbanzo is also Spanish for chickpea, and chickpea is derived from the French ciche, which means scanty in English! Ooooh, dead-end inducing tidbit!
But I digress. I'm going to say yes on this matter. JJ more than anyone understands the importance of fans, and given the widespread nature of this rumour (compared to the Saw/Res Evil/Transformers rumours), I'm willing to bet that there's something substantial for us at the start of Beowulf (not that I'll be seeing that film - I'm waiting for Assassination of Jesse James and, besides, it'll be on Youtube).
