I have been just playing around every once in a while with a few thoughts. I came across an interesting concept. In the one letter it says, "Can you keep a secret? Can you secret three?" The same letter, at first, the Capital letters ended in "Three Ten"

010108 = 10 - left hand w/ writing
311001 = 6 - person w/ goggles
111511 = 10 - bicycle
011103 = 6 - drawing?
151415 = 17 - poem
011005 = 7 - typed letter
201921 = 15 - absinthe, A-spades, gun
311005 = 10 - blurry drawing
311007 = 12 - another typed letter

Three of the page headers add up to 10. Are they linked in some way?

This just hit me...

We've seen the phrase "Beware numbers, count onLies" before. I'm pretty sure that the L is capitalized because it's actually a new word. We're not supposed to count "onlies". It's a warning. We have to count on lies.

Probably something to keep in mind as we play. :/

I was looking at the pictures again, and I noticed some writing on the bottle of absinthe - it says "jitensha", which means "bicycle". The word on the pillar of the bicycle picture says "ishi", or "caution", and this word points to the face. Maybe we're supposed to beware the face? Personally, I think that entire picture is a message in of itself...but it's late and maybe this will make more sense in the morning, or maybe this will help someone else make sense of things.

EDIT: Looked again at the poem picture. The first letter of the lines of the poem read as follows:

TIHREIEGCUHCOHEIS

Remove the every other letter and you get "iriguchi" - but look at what remains:

THEECHOES

It's in between the echoes where you'll find me. This has to mean something.

I got an email from Melpomene telling me that iriguchi is "one of three". We are looking for three words.

I'm almost positive one of them is "jitensha", bicycle in Japanese. I sent an email asking if it was, so I'll post when I hear back.

The problem I personally am having with this is, I have no idea were this puzzle begins or ends. The obvious answer would be here, but that's assuming that the the whole of the site (that we know about) is a singular puzzle.
With so much information it's hard to tell if that is the case, or it is as it seems, many small self contained "puzzles" giving random bits of info.

If we are supposed to have an answer to how "we" found Melpomene, I would expect there to be a definite path leading to her, in some way conveying the information that we are to contact her.
Based on that logic, I think the answer should be self contained on this page, since her name was found through the image tag on that page as well as "entrance" being a known part of the solve.
From this I expect the solve to be something like "tragedy is the entrance".
Possibly more Japanese hidden in the poem?.....

I asked Melpomene if the 3 were iriguchi, jitensha, and ishi, since ishi is the other word that appears more than once. Here's what I got back:

So i know the image here http://www.qu13e.com/039/ has been looked at, but has anyone actually deciphered the numbers/letters underneath? Perhaps the symobs under "I am the key" is a cypher.

Also, how closely has the text inbetween "the echoes" lines been looked at here? http://www.qu13e.com/919/

My final question for now is what does the katakana on the beam infront of the bike that's faded say?

Could the third word be the Japanese Romaji for "face?"

One thing I was studying was the picture of the hand. One number that
appears is 432. The thumb and forefinger hold the 4, the 3 fingers are painted, or bloody, and the 2 is in roman numerals on the ring finger. 432 is
a number that is related to the end times, or events of significance.

To try and answer some questions,
Yes the XIII has been mentioned, just don't really know what it means.
About the "I am qu13e" pic, the marks underneath the text appear to be just the font type mostly, accept under "me" in two spots where you see "345".
No this hasn't been "decoded", although I went back to look at the image and just noticed that there is a shadow image of a pistol on the bottom.
I'm not sure what "katakana" is exactly, but the bottom symbols say "entrance" while the characters on the plaque say something like "pay attention".
I'm still trying to figure out what that hand is about too. If you didn't know this, it was also used in Qu13e's first incarnation.the one thing I have noticed is that 3*6*9=162 (three fingers,six dots, IX on palm)

about the pic with the bike... i guess what's meant is the three bars (a kanji that stands for three) on the road sign. the other two kanji stand for entrance
