there is no kanji for "three" on the sign. its two kanji that mean "entrance". romanji is a japanese word wrote in roman letters for example; "iriguchi" is romanji.

Hello, everyone.

The Japanese word for "face" is "kao", if anyone wants to try the suggestion made by DevilBlueEye. Also, DevilBlueEye's suggestion that "4" "3" and "2" are important in the picture of the hand neglects to take into account the gigantic number "9" on the palm. Apologies if I'm missing something; I read the splash page but haven't trudged through all of the backlogs in this thread yet.

In an attempt to help Ekplixi: it looks to me as though the characters on the staircase are or are written in the style of very very old-fashioned Chinese characters, as opposed to modern kanji. I can't make them out, or I would look them up.

I have seen the picture with the ladder and I can see one Kanji:
音、 it does mean "sound".

Perhaps it could help in some way.
