It could be a date. But there isn't a script in the page to make an update happen automatically, so probably not a specific time of day..
Could try translating the slashes to numbers, but I'm not waiting around until 4008 for an update.

thank you, pm, for the nod.
and i agree, Delusional, qu13e is more than a game. i hope more players come by and check it out. the words, puzzles and images of this splinternails world are unlike anything else i've experienced.

I also think that's correct.
But the source comments were there before it was explicitly stated on these boards.

Not your fault. I was annoyed that nobody was posting anything, not even random spec, and didn't think anybody much cared.
That was the "There's "new" stuff in the source. Go check it if you want to see. ".
Anyways, good to see we have got some other people watching this, perhaps have been for some time. It would be a shame for this to die from lack of interest.
Although that seems premature now.
One thing that's bothering me about this latest solve(I still believe it's correct). Why continue to update the source if all it's saying is wait 'till the new year? WTF does "Eye see I see me" have to do with that?
Or perhaps there is a bit hidden like the random.html page.
Or is the non-existent url's re-directing back to the front page along with the 1/1/2008 in the source there saying "stop digging around and wait for the date".
I sure like to over complicate things.

I'm a bit confused by what's going on here as I haven't had the chance to look at the archive of qu13e yet. But I've been lurking on this thread and am impressed with the tenacious perseverance you few show.
I saw that the title of the thread includes "It's in between the echoes where you'll find me" but did you know that it's also in the source code of the me.jpg along with a version of the pipe-bracket eye?
view-source:http://www.qu13e.com/me.jpg
Code:
| | ||{}{}||||||||It's in between the echoes where you'll find me...RJZ
Is RJZ a character from the original game?
/me goes to get her reading glasses to take a closer look at this.
Please excuse me if this is trout worthy.

I know I haven't seen that, thanks drizjr.
I never bothered to check the tags either. :/

The "RJZ" is what really intrigues me from that.

RJZ potentials (thanks, drizjr!)
i've been hunting around the web for anything and everything RJZ related. there are a ton of math references to it. some connected to algebraic formulas. (we know our this story world loves math)
and then i also found a lot over on "deviantArt" by an artist named RJZ. (some of you may remember that we traveled around "deviantArt" the first time we met up with qu13e) the art is anime stuff.

I played this last time, and I'm THRILLED to see it up again! I do know Japanese, which means I can translate stuff for everyone.
The message posted earlier, "日本語読めますか?" is Japanese for, "Can you read Japanese?" I'm assuming this is a heads-up from the PM that we should have Japanese text installed on our computers to play the game.
Don't worry about relying on Babelfish; you officially have a Japanese speaker on board!
Did anyone see the comment on Harry Rollins' LJ that read:
Quote:
Everyone's a ghost, a shade, a shape I can not fix...
Never on time, me. (mailto:9starspills@gmail.com)
Should we give the email a shot?

Sorry for the double post, but I sent an email to 9starspillsSPLAT gmail.com asking if he was splinternails because I was looking for him this morning and here's the reply I got:
Quote:
"And now dear little children, who may this story read,
To idle, silly flattering words, I pray you ne'er give heed:
Unto an evil counsellor, close heart and ear and eye,
And take a lesson from this tale, of the Spider and the Fly."
Very interesting...

Those are the last 4 lines of this crazy poem my parents read to me when I was younger. I'll see if I can find a copy online.. It's called "The Spider and the Fly."
Got it here .
