 		looks like there is space for two symbols. I would guess X and O, based on the non-repeating nature of the rest of the code

 		Well i tried o and x and some other buttons but i couldn't get anything special to happen. I have a feeling i might be entering it right even though i have tried different possibilities. If some of the code was missing you would think there would be a hint of what buttons they are somewhere.

 		bringing up an old topic:
Under each Roman numeral is a small line which is very definitely not in the center of the slice and seems to indicate that the numeral refers specifically to a particular letter.
However, under this theory (and continuing with the successful alphabet cipher) , 7 corresponds to H, 5 to L, 9 to V, with possible further numerals above A and R.

I have no idea what to do with that though.

H, L, V, and maybe A and R. these are really uninteresting letters.

 		I translated the stone again and came up with:

westward to the golden ...

Maybe it's just referring to where the alphabet starts on the compass.

Damn, I'm from europe and hoped to play the demo today. Can't access any psn store either.

It may have just been for decoding the compass.

I just submitted "el draque" to brothers of drake and got another treasure / cheat code (left right down up triangle R1 L1 square)

I'm pretty sure I tried this yesterday as well, I may have forgot to add space.

Roman numerals on "eldraque posters": IX VII XXV LXXIX (9 7 25 79)
Dates on "eldraque posters": 1596 / 9 32 79

Roman numerals on compass slices: V VII IX . . .

From what I can make out: "I" is above R, and "III" is above A. This makes it odd numbers only (I III V VII IX) and spells "RALHV" and filling in even numbers would make it look like "R*A*L*H*V"

 		I found another thing as well. On the official site, after you unlock and enter the u-boat door, just left of the notice on the wall is a little black square. If you click it a video will play, but it's just in-game stuff.
edit:
I watched this again, but now it just played the developer video #2.
The video it originally showed was the official trailer, and then the webpage crashed, so it was probably just a bug.

I know I tried it yesterday (it's still in my history) and it definitely didn't work then.

I think those are reasonable guesses. I still don't like the letters though, so uninspiring.

As to the remaining symbols/letters on the craigslist map, there are several interesting anagrams:

live island; evil island; vile island; veil island; Valid lines; Slain Devil...

there are at least a thousand valid anagrams using those letters, but these looked the most interesting. Still, no special meaning as far as I can tell. As of today, they don't do anything on the brotherhood site either, but now we know that can change.


As to the last word on the stone, the best I got is

"X blob L blob" with the second blob looking kind of like a left-right reversed phi

but once again, these letters are pretty lame.

I have to say I am pretty disappointed by the demo but maybe I can make myself walk through it some more to see if there is anything related to elana's message.
