vids/location

it seems to me, that each of the videos are trying to make the locations painfully apparent--this with the the interview of Mark with the map behind his head (see bones thread)--makes me think that we shouldn't overlook where she is at

I did a breakdown of the videos from isshestillalive on youtube included date added, title, (possible) location and the enigmatic text found in the "more info"--the titles of the videos are exact as seen on the main page of ishestillalive--notice the odd spaces, i'm not sure if this was intentional or a screwup on youtube:

(putting under spoiler just in case)

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
added October 31: "isshestillalive0 1" vid, location: party?, text says: "is she still alive?"

added November 01:

"isshestillalive" vid, location: looking at Stature of liberty, text asks "is she still alive";

"is she still alive" vid, location: party?, text asks "is she still alive";

"isshestillalive 02" vid, location: W over the door of building, text asks "isshestillalive";

added November 3rd:

"isshestillalive --" vid, location: Blue Fin seafood restaurant (1567 Broadway) text says "cold alive she still";

"alivealiveornev erwas" vid, location: Broadway and 47th, text asks "cold hidden plain sight";--THERE IS SOMETHING HERE SHE IS TRYING TO SHOW US--CAMERA ROTATES CORNER SEVERAL TIMES, she also mentions all the crazy people there, quite emphatically

added November 5th: "isshestillalive ?" vid, location: 401 Broadway, text says "viale";

"sheisstillalive" vid, location: Broadway and 47th , she mentions "my personal tv station", text says "eusm";

added November 9th: "isshestilldead?" vid, location: a Tim Hortons, Canada?, text says "is she still alive"

so i think we need to know what building it is she enters--possilby the same location as the lipgloss scenes?, as it seems significant, what is "cold hidden" but in "plain sight" in "alivealiveornev erwas", and what is she referring to by "my personal tv station?"--youtube?? or something else?

Nice job, Cyng! That's wicked clear and helpful!
viale and eusm, combined and anagramed, can turn into:

Amuse evil
A Live Muse
A Vile Muse

And a couple hundred other things. I thought the 'muse' stuff MIGHT be relevant, just since she seems to be the driving force behind the film project...

"Alive" "Muse" are my best guesses. Maybe she was an inspiration for something or for her "station" whatever that may be?

BTW, can we merge these now? two threads gets tiresome.

the location of the Blue Fin Restaurant and the "W" (from isshestillalive02
vid) is one and the same:

W New York Times Square Hotel
1567 Broadway

http://blog.travelpost.com/2007/02/01/the-best-hotel-elevator/

http://www.starwoodhotels.com/whotels/property/overview/index.html?propertyID=1234&requestedChainCode=WH&requestedAffiliationCode=W
H&localeCode=en_US&localeoverwrite=&language=en_US&flashContent=nonflash&undefined

so the majority of the isshestillalive vid's take place on that corner (47th and Broadway) and in the hotel (possibly the lipgloss scene(s) take place there too?)--outside of the Tim Hortons scene, the Statue of Liberty, and 401 Broadway

did a mapquest search of places nearby the Blue Fin address"

possible lead:

Broadway Muse Inc
1572 Broadway

its a novelty gift/souvenir shop

I've been working on the latest video posted, the donut video. At about 1:12 of the video the cameraman asks the girl, "So, whats the ________ review on that?" To which she replies, " Out of 10? 500!" I believe the missing word may be a lead to at least let us know who she is, or a company she is working for. Perhaps someone with a little more audio knowledge can clean it up and decipher it?

i thought he was asking the rating on the donut Very Happy

but i agree, we are missing something vital in the audio--

also--when the vids all go wonky in the middle---sometimes i think i can make hazy letters out--but it could be a trick of the eye.

Looks like we need a frame by frame to check for that. Can ANYONE separate the audio for us?! Bruce?

Oh dear... it seems the donut vid (which I never saw Sad)has been removed by the user. There's a new one that seems to be set in the same place, but it's very very dark (as in bady lit Razz).

added: November 11
title: isshetryingtoreachyou (although when it's grouped with the other vids on isshestillalive's main page, it reads "isshetryingtore achyou")
location: Tim Horton's
text: is she still alive
of note: BALLS! Shocked , very dark

I assume the donut vid wasn't dark, partly because it still shows up in Youtube search results, with a small screencap that looks normally lit.

There's also a viewfinder-type thing (white double rectangle, and a white pinprick/dot in the middle of the screen), and a flashing red "REC" which I don't think has been in the other vids.

Sounds like this is a natural recording? Or maybe used to an effect?

im pretty sure the "balls" vid is not a Tim Hortons like the donut vid--if you look in the background there is a chinese painting--chrysanthemum motive--and those black chairs are like every restaurant in chinatown decor --

in fact, it is too familiar too me Wink

since one of the pushpins in the map on alas appears to be the GTA, perhaps it is closer to home than i thought (but who knows--maybe those chairs are the standard issue for all chinese restaurants in North America) Razz

the feeling of this plot, (so far) reminds me (more so the vibe than the plot points) of Das Experiment (released in Canada as Le Experiment) from 2001. It was one of the most memorable movies I have seen,more pychologically chilling than gory, and I remember hearing on the radio that there was going to be a remake in English. IMDB didn't turn up much, other than it was going to be released in 2008. but i found this brief description http://tv.msn.com/movies/movie.aspx?m=2097791&mp=syn

although it was based on a prison experiment, i believe in the film, it took place in a pysch ward

Sounds like the 1973 Harvard Psych prison experiment that went totally crazy.
