I will clear this up once and for all.

Look, I wasn't paying attention to facts that could help me defend that it was a trailer for the wizard of oz, such as the production company, the producer, the date of release, etc.

I wasn't concentrating on that.

All I can tell you is that it WAS for the wizard of Oz. I remember distinctly the guy from the trailer saying "The Wizard of Oz".

Also, according to the wiki on the Tin Man, it takes place in a frigid wasteland. The trailer I saw takes place in a rainforest.

Also, it was a single trailer in front of an advanced screening of Beowulf. Just like Cloverfield, not much about the movie has been revealed yet.

I'll try to find information about the movie, but if anyone can link me to a trailer for the "Tin Man", and I recognize it, my fault.

EDIT: I am looking at trailers right now. So far it's hard for me to tell since I don't remember much from the add except this one scene with a storm taking up the house and the title "The Wizard of Oz". Also, none of them were in the same format as the one I saw in the movie theatre.

All the trailers I've watched end with something which makes you know it's a TV show. Also, none of them say "the wizard of oz".

I'll try to find it on youtube.

Nope, none of the trailers I've seen are what I'm looking for because they never announce in big letters and words "The Wizard of Oz" at any moment and they all say "sponsored by verizon" (which was not in the trailer).

I'm sure it would be best to ask someone else who also went to an advanced screening. Some of my friends are going tonight, I'll ask them to keep an eye out for it.

Christ on a crutch! Why are you guys making Kraker do all this legwork for irrelevant information? Yikes.

Who cares if it's Wizard of Oz or any other random soon-to-be-canceled-because-it's-a-not-a-top-notch-gajillion-viewer-homogenized-one-size-fits-all-ratings-cow tv series anyway?

It wasn't the cloverfield trailer. That's all that is immediately relevant here. Sheesh.

::grumbles incoherently and then cries out dramatically:::: "WHERE IS THAT PIRATED BOOTLEGGED TRAILER ALREADY! *SOMEONE* has to have recorded it!"

::falls into a heap weeping:::

What a crock of shit. Another attempt to destroy my childhood memories.

Do me a Favor, Mr McFarlane: Name the movie anything but "The Wizard of Oz." You're a great comic book artist but this would really, truly suck.

Again I am sorry
I never posted my reasoning and that may help.

My Train of Thought:

If it was a comercial for Tinman. Not saying it is.
Abrams knowing we are looking, held back the trailer?
Then could we expect a proper commercial
FOR cloverfield DURING Tinman?

Cool Kraker Cool , thank you for being so patient and revisiting this thread.
I truely appreciate it.

I wish I had posted this further up the thread.
