That is possible, but if they wanted to crank them out that fast I wouldn't expect the background set to make the changes we've seen. If they did make the videos in one day of shooting, then every change we've seen in the background props would likely serve a purpose. We thus far are not aware of that being the case.


They do serve a purpose, they give the illusion of the passage of time between videos. Set dressing is a very important part of filming, rarely anything in a room will stay static forever. They probably filmed the videos over a few hours with some short breaks for food, water, and wardrobe/set dressing changes. Otherwise the costs for these videos would skyrocket as you call back the entire crew and rerent the same studio over and over. Also, if they didn't film them all at once, they would have to rebuild the set each time, as they are usually collapsed (if not destroyed.. pieces of them go missing, get sold on e-bay, or get filed in giant warehouses. For example, the Serenity had to be rebuilt for the the Firefly movie, the original one had been dismantled and vanished at the end of the series production)

I've been thinking of the time frame issue.

1) Considering the FUTURE date she has to wait for to open her present...
2) Considering that the things in the movie haven't happened yet at the time of Jamie's videos...
3) Considering that the photos on the 1-18-08.com site are literally date-tagged 1-18-08...
4) Considering that the events of 1-18-08 have not yet occured according to the tenure of the MySpace accounts...

I have to believe that Jamie's videos are therefore meant to be REAL TIME.
All the evidence suggests this.
So then, Jamie last spoke to Teddy LITERALLY two days before the video was posted.

I believe that everything that we are seeing on all the game sites is meant to be walking along with us as though we are there with THEM in THEIR time frame (which is also OUR timeframe), so that 1-18-08 isn't merely the release date of the movie but is also the LITERAL date on the calendar of the world in the movie. When we all go to see the movie on 1-18-08, we are meant to be witnessing the event as though it were happening in real time/real world New York. I bet if you could see a calendar in Rob's apartment the night of the party/attack, the date would be January 18 2008. We won't be watching a movie based in teh past or far in the future or an alternate time line - we'll be watching a movie that's supposed to be happening WHILE WE ARE WATCHING IT. The amount of time between each of Jamie's video postings is meant to literally be the time in the movie's world when Jamie posted them for Teddy. Between the days that Jamie is posting videos, she and teddy are conversing by phone. So, if anyone knows the posting date for each of Jamie's videos, we have a perfect time frame leading up to today - which is Thanksgiving (which would also be Thanksgiving Day in the Cloverfield world. Pitty Jamie didn't mention it, but I understand why they didn't).

 		my only problem
with the whole real time in cloverfield thing is...
we're not gonna watch the movie as if the monster attack is happening right then and there because of two reasons:

1. the camera was found later/much later and the tape was watched over on a later date?

2. wat rob says in the trailer "about seven hours ago". The attacked happened at around mid night of the 18th but the movie isn't gonna start at mid night on the 18th, continue for an hour/two hours and finish at 2 am on the 18th... it's not gonna be in real time...

i just think the movie is meant to depict wat happened on the 18th...

that being said...

i agree with you completely about the things leading up to the movie... like jamie being in real time like us right now... that all makes sense to everyone i think...

 		so with the upcoming jamie video due to the shot for the beginning of Dec anyone want to base any ideas on what is in the box with all the updated clues that has been floating around.

I am of the view, the contents of the box is non other then "the cause's" starter pack for Jamie so that she can join the cause to take down tagruato. simple as.

Yes, and since December 9th is a Sunday, there'll probably be a lot of disappointed people expecting to see an update outside of normal working hours that I don't think will happen. In fact, I'm not 100% confident we'll get a video bright and early the next day. They'll get around to it... ...eventually.

My prediction for the gift: Another teddy bear, some indication of when Teddy is coming home, and a lot of people around here cursing the lack of clues. Smile

 		There's been a lot of speculation about whether Teddy's "Cause" is pro-Tagruato or anti-Tagruato. If it's anti-Tagruato, then the obvious next guess is that Teddy's "Cause" is responsible for the site hack. But, didn't Jamie say, in Video 3, that she "didn't understand" what Teddy was doing (in her ref. to his "saving the world"). I know Jamie isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, but what's not to get about an environmental protest group?

I went back to watch video 3 again - to find that line where Jamie expresses her lack of comprehension about Teddy's 'work' - and the sound wouldn't work. In fact, the sound didn't work for videos 1, 2 and 3 - but, it did work on video 4. What's up with that? Is that just something on my end, or is something screwy going on with that Jamie-Teddy-Video site?
