New Email from Phyllis on Analogue

Dear Barbara, Steffeny and Amanda,
You are all brilliant! Thank you so much! All of you turned up more useful
research in a couple of hours than I did in half a day at the Library. If I
understand everything correctly, the first thing I demand from the Council is how Mount Analogue has managed to circumvent the 1979 Pinelands
Protection Act since there are no currently used structures "in or adjacent to areas" they intend to develop. The gun club is not occupied as a residence nor is it an operating business; it doesn't even have plumbing, I don't think. It's just an extremely small concrete building and I can't imagine they plan on "staying in the footprint" of it. What is left of the ashram doesn't even qualify as hovels; there were no foundations there. The next thing I demand is the Environmental Impact Study. I will call one of those lawyers with the Sierra Club first thing Monday and maybe he can come to the meeting with me. In a nutshell, can the situation be summed up on a picket sign: Dirty Money = Dirty Water?

Today I found a copy shop that was open so I made up a few hundred
flyers urging people to join me at the Council meeting. As I passed them out, I also started a whisper campaign: "Who are these Mount Analogue people and what do they do? I heard they're some kind of mind-control cult." That has set tongues wagging and generated some alarm.

With your permission, Barbara, I would like to make a copy of your
outstanding Open Letter and use it as a petition. If people can't make it to the Council meeting, their signature can represent them!

With gratitude and admiration,
Phyllis
