[META][INFO] No Trailer #2 at Beowulf early viewing

my girlfriend's mom and her boyfriend won tickets to see an early viewing of Beowulf tonight. I told them to look out for a 1-18-08 trailer and they said that they will try and remember

I was eager to hear of ( not only how Beowulf was ) a possible new trailer in front of this early showing.

Sorry guys but there was no new trailer in front of the EARLY viewing of Beowulf. They told me that there was only one trailer before this early viewing and it was some sorts of kids movie and it went right into Beowulf

This question i have for all of you is going to be a confusing one. Could Paramount given the theater two copies of Beowulf ( one to be shown as the early viewing and one as the real copy )? I mean I have never heard of a big movie like this only having one preview before the main movie came on. Can the movie theater set the reel to only playing the last preview of the reel before Beowulf came on?

At first this news really bummed me out but when I thought about the above questions I got really excited. If Paramount told the theater to start the reel late then could this mean that we will get our Cloverfield trailer? The reason they didnt want everyone to see it at the early showing could be that they didnt want to just show a small audience like that.

I think that this could possibly be the biggest hint that the trailer will be shown before the actually showing of Beowulf.

I would love to hear what you guys think about this.

Edit: Tagged and clarified. -SpaceBass

Same thing happened to Kraker.

And they probably didn't show it because they didn't want early viewers to spoil it for the people who see it on the actual release date.

well most early viewings don't really have trailers before them, most don't and your probably lucky to see one at all, your there for the movie not the previews

Private viewings and sneak peeks don't usually have trailers more then likely this was a different roll of film from the Theatrical Reals
