It's legit. I'll support that idea now, though not fully - I still want hard, HARD proof. I just didn't want it to be, because lines like "Whatever it is, it's winning" and "People will want to know how it all went down" were delivered so badly that it would be disappointing that this was all Goddard and co could wring out of the cast.

Well, you saw more than I did. I saw he first three things you mentioned, 'Cloverfield', horses, and a crapload of blurring. There's jack-all in this one for us to start analysing. We should start analysing once we get the HD version. I'm still hoping this one ain't real, and we get a much, much better one lifted from Beowulf.

And the line isn't from Transformers. It would have come up in either Google or Wikiquote if it were.

 		in the trailer on youtube (just go to cloverfieldclues, it'll be quicker) pause when it shows the old footage of the explosion from the first trailer at -0.49. it goes to negative. It struck me as odd.

very common effect used in trailers these days. especially horror + thrillers. they go to the negative and then quickly fade out..."adds" a bit to the atmosphere. cant think of a specific example but trust me..it has been done

I noticed that. It was one of the many strikingly odd things about this trailer - like the completely out of normal style spastic filming of the party. What, did Hud take party pills after getting the video of everyone saying what an awesome guy Rob is and come down before the first groan in trailer 1?

Yeah, I agree about the lines being slightly cheesy and not well delivered. I think the overall trailer is going to be twice as long as this. The clips don't connect smoothly, a bit jumpy and obviously there were no logos or other info in the clips given to us.

I just can't wait for the HD!

 		yeah i understand that its an effect thats used alot, i'm talking about the negative image itself. Stretching here, but remember how people said they saw the monster in the fireball? I'm not saying that this is true, but i'm going along with my light theory and saying that there is an odd shape that doesn't match the fire ball, that appears when it hits negative. If the monster is made out of bright light, it would portray itself darker in negative.

After all the agonizing review of the old trailer and with the studio/JJ knowing that, i just feel that they might throw us an easter egg on this one.

I think we'll be seeing them 10:30 at the latest, judging by the number of people saying they're just going to see the trailer and then buggering off. Personally, I think that's a waste of teh monies.
