i think the animated "ball" in this image is interesting, but probably means absolutely nothing.

Mine was similar, though it had an '@' at the end of die. It however, did NOT come from 97777, it was from an actual phone ## (unlisted, but traced to Northern Ontario Canada (close to me). The number was 705-507-8177.

Since I'm rather new...are there any guidelines for receiving phone numbers like this. Should a call be placed to the number? I haven't seen any guidelines for this. Or would we just assume that since they needed to 'call' that there needed to be a 'number' associated??

Let me know. I'm more than willing to accept a few long distance charges.

Not sure about messages received from an actual phone number - all the others have received them from a "short code".

Are you not in the US? Since the short code is US-based, maybe you had to be contacted via a regular phone number.

As for replying to the message - you can try. I know replying to the Short Code doesn't work.

I'm in Canada...and use short codes as well (may not be the same 'system' though...).

If she is a kid, texting, they wouldn't likely use punctuation. Also, there are big words that would more than likely be condensed as well.

Hope this is not trout but the new blog is written by a new cast member that will be on Jericho.......

Orla Brady has been hired to play James Woods' ex-wife on CBS' "Shark," while Emily Rose has landed arcs on ABC's "Brothers & Sisters" and CBS' "Jericho."

Brady will have a multiepisode arc on "Shark," playing the ex-wife of defense attorney-turned-prosecutor Sebastian Stark (Woods).

Lindsay Frost originated the ex-wife role in the pilot episode, which aired last season. "Shark," from 20th Century Fox TV and Imagine TV, kicks-off its second season at 10 p.m. Sunday.

On "Brothers & Sisters," Rose has been tapped for an eight-episode arc, playing a friend of Rebecca's (Emily VanCamp) who has a fling with Thomas Walker (Balthazar Getty). "Brothers," from ABC Studios, has its second-season premiere at 10 p.m. Sept. 30.

On "Jericho," she is set to portray Trish Merrick, a smart and ambitious aid worker who arrives in Jericho to help with the reconstruction of the town, in five episodes. The series, from CBS Paramount Network TV, returns for its sophomore year at midseason.

I don't exactly get free text messaging here, so I hope this is going somewhere soon.
