I'm pretty sure it's the same party. Do you think they'd really try and trick us that much?

Obviously it is a photo, from that night, of her, HUD (though I admit it doesn't look like him) and Robbie (looks exactly like him).
So unless Hudson and rob were at this other party only an hour before the explosion...

EDIT: I'm gonna go ahead and say--
from the writing on the back of the card, it doesn't sound much like Jamie feels very committed to Teddy by the end of the night. "Spread my hotness far and wide" sounds more like this summer's slutty Jamie.
It's also painfully obvious that she dies early on, possibly before they even make it outside of the building. With her gone, there's really no point for a Teddy character, so either he dies with her (semi-romantic?) or probably isn't even at the party.

Here's my opinion on Jamie, she probably WILL be in the movie, but she's not gonna have a huge role, that's why they're giving you her story now if you care to find out and so that some of the things she says makes sense in the movie. Maybe she'll refer to teddy, and that will be a humourous part to us, but to others they'll be like "Wtf? nerds...", my opinion, but it's fun for sure.

I'm beginning to think Jamie is indeed the 'red shirt' who dies early. Yes, based on the evidence of the pic from 1-18-08 she's got to be at the party.
What we don't know is exactly who 11$ guy is, and if maybe that's Teddy. This whole movie project and promotion has had a LOT of secrecy, but we are gradually finding things out and piecing together more and more of the story - so there's got to be SOMETHING kept secret to give us a shocker when we go see the movie. The identity of Teddy and the fate of he and Jamie could be one of those secrets, especially since the focus seems to be mostly on Rob, Beth, Hud, and Marlena in the conventional promotion. Only we here with the internet obsessions are all that clued in on what's going on with Jamie and Teddy, and it creates a mystery for us.

Remember people, we are the driving force of this viral campaign. They need us to have something to tell others to propel the spread of the campaign, and they need us to have questions we ourselves need answered to keep us involved.

Quick thought. If teddy is off saving the world, presumably with everyone's favorite japanese company (possibly working for their military design branch), could they split off from the group?

I think about it like this... If i'm at a party with that many people, I'm not going to stay with everyone. I will grab whoever is closest to me. Maybe two or three of my closest friends. I'm not bringing the whole freakin party, and I'd doubt i'd bring the my six myspace friends. Jamie and teddy could go off to whereever tagruato corp is shored up in NY. That would give us that backstory, or atleast we could reconnect with those characters later, and give some more explanation.

I definitely get the impression that since Jamie and Teddy are our primary focus for the ARG, we may not see much, if anything, of them in the movie past the opening party. I wonder if we learn their fate through the ARG, not the movie. Anyone else excited yet?

Also, there is nothing to say that "they" won't continue the ARG won't continue after the movie... If the movie does well, the game could get more intense afterwards. With the possibility of a sequel, some character could be our link to the Cloverfield universe.

Or it could be that Jamie ,being the best developed of the characters; pre-1-18-09, implies that she is the one that lives. Maybe she wasn't at the party (maybe Teddy called her away for a weekend in the Hamptons or something). Since this is portrayed as a documentary/military after action report ... it might be intercut with scenes of people who lived and 'knew' Rob, Hud, Lily, et al.

Intercutting scenes with Jamie talking after the 'event' would also allow some time for one's eyes to rest between 1st person shots that can make people (like me) motion sick.

Totally speculation, of course.

The Phrase "Spread my hotness far and wide" Always bothered me. Then I remembered the video on Jamie and Teddy when there was "someone" in Bed with Jaime. Coupled with the fact that that "person" kinda looks like Rob. We know Jaime has a bladder infection (or so she thinks) is the line on the back of the picture to be taken literaly? Did Jaime and Rob bump uglies? Perhaps Rob spreds the "infection"

Im begining to think Jaime's role here is solely for the ARG, she is the protagonist of the marketing only me thinks. I think we need to pay more attention to her and whatshe may or may not be telling us.
