Here's another possible storyline:

Jamie AIN'T at the party. Hell, she's not even in America during the party.

Consider this: Jamie opens her Dec. 9 present and finds out that it's an airline ticket to come visit Teddy. He's out in Norway or Iceland or Nova Scotia or somewhere on a Greenpeace/Save the Whales type boat, and he wants her to come join him for "the cause."

So before she leaves on her flight -- in December -- Hud and Rob come over to throw her a little going away party. In the meantime, Rob gets the news that he's been offered a job with Slusho/Tagruato in Japan in January.

So Jamie's happy for Rob, too -- writes a little note on the back of the pic of the three of them, "spread my hotness far and wide," and writes "January 2008." (Note that it says "January," NOT "January 18.")

So "January 2008" is simply pointing out the fact that Rob will be leaving in January 2008.

...Oh, the timestamp? Yeah. The picture of Crazy Japanese Chef is timestamped 1/18/08, too. Does that mean HE'S at the party? Of course not.

So there's no indication AT ALL now that the 1-18-08.com pics are contiguous. They may represent MANY different dates and places, and the "1/18/08" timestamp is added post-attack by the same mysterious (gubmint agency?) folks who wrote "Case Designate Cloverfield/Area Formerly Known As Central Park."

In fact, 1/18/08 may just be the date that the military or whoever is compiling all the video/photo data from Hud's camera, while the attack itself might have happened several days (or weeks) earlier.

the photo's on 1-18-08.com are timestamped withe the date 01/18/08 and the time it was taken to the right, so I don't think it could be added in by any one else because exact time would be hard to remember.

Actually, the wacky chef photo is the only one that doesn't have a date or time.

I guess anything is possible, but in general the progression of events from the teaser seem to match the timestamps on the photos pretty well. The time on the newscast in the teaser is 12:32 AM, then we get a photo from a few minutes later showing the scared girls outside.

I think Jamie is at the party, maybe even acting as the still photographer (after all photography is listed as one of her interests). We just haven't seen her yet.

The image of the menu card isn't timestamped.

Okay fine, Supaa Chef isn't timestamped....but it sure as hell doesn't belong with the rest of the pics if they're running sequentially, does it?

There's a *reason* for the "Clean Up Crew" to compile those pics in that fashion. They know that there's clues to what really happened -- even from the Japanese recipe picture.

There's still no indication at all that "January 2008" means specifically "January 18, 2008," and it doesn't shoot down the theory that Jamie wrote "January 2008" before the party, just in anticipation of Rob's overseas promotion.

brettoniasam,
Jamie is at the party 12:04 am pic..with Hud and Rob in pic with her. Same timestamp taken from same camera....Guess Rob would be wearing same shirt at a different party on a different date also if was not 1-18-08?

How would the clean up crew know the exact moment the pictures were taken? And I'm pretty sure they'd just toss the Chef card out think it was debris from some foody's apartment.

It would be funny if the present ends up being the digital camcorder we see the movie through.

I'm just waiting for her to open the gift and have a small alien creature leap out, attach to her face and suck out her brain.
